Asian House Carina — Restaurant in Brisbane City

This is a local hidden gem! Was craving for Chinese food in the area and this was first to show in google maps. The ratings were decent and the food photos looks good. Was my birthday too so I decided to give this place a chance. When the family stepped in, we saw the hustle and bustle of the kitchen staff who all spoke Cantonese. I knew this was the good find. We ordered dry fry beef hor fun, combination and veg noodles and seafood combination noodle ( replaced it with hor fun). The first dish that arrived with the Combination + veg noodle.The noodles were freshly fried and super crispy. The sauce amount was perfect to accompany the noodles with the fresh crisp prawns and squid. It hit the spot!! The seafood combination hor fun tasted just as good as the first dish and the hor fun had that familiar wok hei flavour. The hor fun was a little stuck together but the flavour of the entire dish made up for it with the fresh seafood and veg. The dry beef hor fun was a little let down. Felt it was a tad too oily and salty for our liking. Definitely had the wok hei in there with good decent portion of tender beef. The young service staff didn't quite understand our Singaporean Cantonese accent which was little awkward that we had to change to Aussie accent to order our food. Cash is preferred here to avoid the card fees. You can ask for the dish to be less salty when ordering. Have recommended to some friends who regularly attend the gardening events at the Belmont shooting club. Looking forward to visit again.

ASIAN HOUSE CARINA Absolutely, the hidden treasure on Meadowlands Road, Carina. The reasons my husband and I agree:  We were warmly welcomed by John (owner), Molly, Jackson and the team with smiles, patience, guidance and understanding. Excellent Customer Service 5+ stars!  50+ Gluten Free options on the menu (refer to the Take-out Menu) when dining in- Gluten Free options are easily displayed.  We dined in and both enjoyed the Chicken Sweet Corn Soup, Combination Omelette, Special Fried Rice and Mixed Vegetables with Cashews.  The ingredients were very fresh, delicious, tasty and cooked in the open kitchen.  The portion sizes were very impressive.  We left with extra Take-out to enjoy the food at home.  Well worth 40+ klms drive to the restaurant. Well we dined in first time, I have to say the service could be better alot of people talking instead of working, but with the food the batter is on point, but so much batter and hardly no chicken in the honey chicken, had alot of sugar in the sauce and less honey , please can you put more chicken in the pieces of honey chicken was just all batter, please serve more sauce onto portions , I think if they can try look at that I'd be a regular, I live in carina travel to Sandgate for my Chinese as it's hard to find something that's actually good Chinese around here.
