I paid $35 for a burger that tasted like a cry for help.

Let me paint the picture: I was handed what can only be described as a culinary prank. The “bun” — if we can even call it that — looked like someone found it in the backseat of a 2002 Toyota Corolla and said, “Eh, close enough.” Yellow, stale, and with the texture of a yoga mat that’s been through one too many hot yoga classes. I’ve had communion wafers with more bounce.

It crunched when I bit into it — not toasted crunch, not artisan crunch — ancient, dried-up, “is this edible?” crunch. It felt like biting into disappointment. And underneath it? A burger that seemed just as confused to be there as I was. It had the sad, limp energy of something that knows it costs too much but brings nothing to the table.

For $35, I expected to be transported. Instead, I was deported from Flavor Country and left stranded in the desert of Regret.

Please, I beg you — bring back the classic bun. Soft. Reliable. Not radioactive yellow. We don’t need innovation. We...

Absolute terrible service on behalf of myself and friends who spent a lot of money. 9:45am on Wednesday the 16th of November the lady working in the cafe were all the coffees were bought stood there and chatted to her coworkers while we waited multiple minutes only to still not be served until my friend physically went to the till and asked. The lady in the navy blue shirt with caramel/dark brown hair was the rudest staff member I’ve ever been served by in my life. She was silent, staired at us and even after us telling our orders which were very easy she threw the eftpos at us to pay. Again did not say anything and left the drinks even bottles of water on the table. She was so rude we never want to be served by her until she gets retrained to smile and have proper customer interaction seeing us all of us work management of hospitality and came here on a holiday only to be treated poorly by her...

We placed an order for burgers, only to be told that there were no breadrolls left and that at $19 each they wouldnt even offer us a discount. As there wasn't any other similar options for same price we still ordered burgers. I then ordered a $22 cheese pizza to go with the meals. Not long after we recieved our meals, waiters walked right past our table to customers at orther tables served after us with their burgers on breadrolls. After complaining to the manager we were given a refund for the pizza but only at our request. Totally understandable that being on an island shipments come through at different times but our order was about 6.30pm (not late) and kitchen staff were well aware that they served our meals with no buns and could have quite easily told us there would be a few minutes delay and we would have...
