This place is a joke. $23 for a burger is pretty high already, but when you find out they pre-cook the burger meats and then just re-heat them before they serve it to you it’s hard to imagine why you’re paying so much. Only conclusion is greed or laziness, or both.
We took our first burgers back (the driest beef patty, lukewarm chicken meat (probably that’s generous), and burger buns that were cold and dry. Zero effort put in by whoever made it. The young guy serving us agreed it wasn’t good and said they would make us new ones. We then watched a staff member take another dry beef patty out of a bain marie and reheat it. Pretty much served the same food again, this time the meat was hotter, but even more dried out from the nuclear reheat they gave these ones. The chicken had turned so dry it was like leather. We returned these also and asked for our money back. This was given, but with lots of excuses.
The “supervisor” (of what, cause it’s not the food quality) said we were just “1 customer of thousands” who they have to serve - and they have to prioritise speedy service for people who had come off the cruise ship that day. He then also tried to spin us some bullshit about how because they are an island “we can’t just pop down to Woolworths to buy fresh food”. Keep hiding behind that crap excuse mate cause that’s all it is. It takes no time to chuck a beef patty on a hot grill and cook it. Will never...
Read moreMy friend and I ordered a burger and fries each. Without a doubt, the worst burger I've ever had, and I include frozen microwaved 7-11 burgers in that. Speaking of microwaves, the burger patties are cooked in a microwave convection oven, not on a BBQ or grill/hotplate despite the name of the place. Pretty sure they were cooked from frozen too, they had no flavour, were stiff and dry, and the texture was very off-putting. The bun was stale and the bacon was barely cooked. For $22, I would expect any kind of better quality. And while I accept they have to mass produce the burgers to service the demand (a full cruise ship) the price should either be lower, or the quality higher. My friend and I persevered and ate half a burger each because of the price we paid, but we just couldn't finish them they were so bad. And while they wouldn't refund a half-eaten burger (understandable), the manager was nice enough to refund one of them (two halves make a full burger lol).
But at the very least the fries were good and the view was quite nice...
Read moreWe ordered the Rib steak x2, Wagyu steak and Chicken parmigiana. Everyone was happy with their meals. Cooked to the right medium rare. Great view of the sunset from our seats. Only thing is the servers around the island seem to not like people and being asked for our surname and room number to make sure we are paying resort guests everywhere we paid for services was weird. Meals came to $188 pretty much what you can expect for each meal for family of 4 on...
