I paid $27 for the Italian Antipasto and got home to see it thrown in a tray with the “selection of cheese” missing (a main element of the meal, not vegetables or olives). I phoned the restaurant to ask if there was meant to be cheese included and the manager said yes, then told me someone forgot to put it in. He then asked if I was far away (was 10 min drive) I said it wasn’t really good enough for the price paid and him not offering an apology or refund/replacement as all the food would be cold/sweaty by the time I had got back with the cheese, really triggered me. The only response I got was “yeah I don’t know what to tell you, the guy forgot it and it was a mistake”.

Italian culture is usually warm and friendly and welcoming, this was the complete opposite and disappointing and a let down to say the least considering how much they are charging and the “unique experience” they claim to give.

In addition to the bad experience and not receiving a main element of the meal, the location is quite off-putting for a restaurant. The quality is similar to a grocery store in my opinion and I’ve had quality and authentic Italian food. The food also smelt spoilt and sour. Wouldn’t recommend calling the owner from your own mobile/ordering from personal accounts as he seems to be pointing out from bad reviews, people revealing their names/their personal details which is rather creepy.

I definitely won’t be reading the response as they can’t take accountability or go through the process of avoiding a customer complaint let alone apologise or offer a refund/replacement. It’s a solid 0/100 for Louie’s House from me.

Also not bad mouthing, just stating facts of my experience and opinion, which everyone is entitled to and the managers responses aren’t going to be a way of bullying people not to...

Im 47 years old and I' have left but two negative reviews in my life. As a business owner of over 20 years I try to understand small businesses... but this experience was so bad that I feel like not doing so is to simply let myself down.

First of all, your closing time according to Google and your signage states11 pm... yet we were refused a sit down meal at 8:30pm and had no choice but to accept take away.

I was served the most horrible glass of red wine... the kind I use for slow cooking... from the bottom shelf.

Our cheesy garlic pizza was burnt to a crisp and uncut.

My daughter ordered a simple run of the mill spaghetti bolognese that came as a dry fettuccine with less that a teaspoon of mince and incredibly spicy... why? Like... why?

My lasagne... simply the worst, dry, burnt, tasteless lasagne in the history of bad food.

All day I worked away while dreaming of a beautiful Italian dinner, and this is what we got. for the cheap price of "84.00" dollars..

If this is what you are serving, please dont charge top dollar... out of respect for your clients... and Id even give up my time to teach your chef to make a good lasagne..

My apologies... this was just too much for me...

As a food lover and passionate home cook, my daughter and I undoubtedly know that this was the worst Italian food experience we have ever shared.

(Keep in mind that Italian food is some of the best cuisine...

Food was awful, experience was worse. Booked for a birthday and was seated in a very dingy outdoor area. Waitress came to take drink orders, brought our drinks, then didn't come back for about 25-30 mins. I went up to the bar where she was cleaning glasses and checking her phone to ask if she could please take our food order. She said she couldn't, as only Louie could take food orders, but he was cooking and not available right now. He came out after another few minutes and took our orders. Ordered bread and dips to share the dips were between mediocre and inedible and came with 3 tiny squares of bread. I couldn't tell you what they were (I'm Italian). Halfway through the meal there was a giant cockroach on the ground, we were outside, fair enough. So I asked the waitress if she could please get rid of it, she said she couldn't and would have to get Louie again. By the time he came back, he gave a halfhearted attempt to shoo it away. At that point I was ready to leave. Picture of "gnocchi" and cocky. I didn't bother with photos of the rest. Disgusting. Never again. Instead I'd recommend Giallo at Carina for traditional Italian/Sicilian dishes or Siffredi's at Teneriffe for a more...

What a great find! We were visiting Brisbane and Casa di Louie was in the Wondall Village just down the road from our accommodation. Excellent menu of traditional Italian food. Louie comes to the table to greet guests and explain the specials. Very welcoming! The meals we ordered were really good - expertly plated and delicious. We sat outside, enjoying the warm evening. Casa di Louie is well worth a visit. An understated local Italian gem!

Really enjoyable and authentic Italian food, and the linguine with clams a special on the day, was divine. I have dined at many Italian restaurants and this meal was very good. Great wine selection and the chef owner Louie is very Italian and hospitable a great host. Only been opened. Few months, easy parking , very pleasant and our meals were delicious. Thanks Louie.
