The pizza bases are very tasty and the pizza not salty like others. Service was friendly. Only 2 suggestions... Add some easier to order things to the menu that people know, such as Hawaiian, Supreme & the ever popular meat lovers... Though I can appreciate the desire for this place to maintain a level of authenticity with what it sells... I'd just be super curious to know what the pizzas above would taste like on these delicious bases! 🙂 The lighting out the front is quite dull and even though Google said it was there I drove straight past thinking all the shops were closed. Perhaps a LED sign out the front to attract attention. Look forward to trying Giovanni's again in the near future.

I had been searching for genuine Italian food in Brisbane for some time and now I have found it. Its authentic, its fresh and you would swear you were sitting down at Nonnas house. We shared a woodfire pizza and had a pasta each which we thoroughly enjoyed. The shared dining was great and felt very family orientated and comfrotable. We have since been back for some takeaway also and the food was once again flawless. Great to see genuine Italian food available in the suburbs at a fair price which is also family friendly. I am telling everyone about it. YUM

I wish I could rate this place zero. I am disgusted to say the least. I waited 90 minutes to get this food, and it all started when I opened the lids and the wrong pasta was paired with the sauces (annoying in itself) and secondly these are both almost $30 dishes and the ragu is literally a bowl of pasta thrown into tomato sauce and the meat is no where to be seen. The other dish called 'primavera' looks like a bowl of oily soup. This is appalling, please do yourself a favour and spend your money elsewhere.

NEVER AGAIN, bad service, mediocre food would give 0 stars if I could. Waited 45 minutes for our order! There were 4 of us. The first 3 ordered, orders were taken to the kitchen and waitress came back to get 4th persons' order. 10 minutes later, the person who ordered last - got their pizza which we thought was strange. So we waited and waited. About 15 minutes later asked how long our meals would be, she checked "They will be out in 2 minutes". Another 10 minutes goes by, again we asked about our meals. "i"ll check" Came back "They will be 5 more minutes" I complained that this was a ridiculously long time to be waiting so the waiter offered to see what the hold up was. He came back "There was a mix up with the orders" Which doesn't really explain anything. 10 minutes after we were told "5 minutes" our meals finally arrived. I had Marina advertised as having prawns (plural) it had 1 prawn and not much other seafood. They gave a lame apology but no offer to discount meals which I would...

My partner and I arrived (for dine in) and was told they were busy so wait time would be quite long. We could see the amount of people there and said no worries and expected a long wait. A family arrived 40 minutes after us and complained after 15 minutes. Their food came out 5 minutes before ours which really upset us as it seems that if you’re polite you miss out. Our entree was served to the wrong table and the waiter collected it from their table after being sat for a minute and placed it on ours. Another customer’s drink was served to our table by mistake. The arancini balls were dry and crusty with all the flavour in a small quantity of sauce on the plate. The pizza was delicious but the truffle pasta was lacking flavour and was very oily. I’m sure they would do well for takeaway pizza but the dine in experience was a let down on...

Visited here on the basis of the good reviews but our experience was far from good, it was awful. We had a confirmed booking, but the male server said he thought that we had cancelled (we had not). The female server then brought pizzas to our table but we had not ordered yet, then our entree garlic pizza bread never arrived. I had to ask for it and was told it was was missed due to a printer issue. The garlic pizza bread entree was nice when it arrived, but none of the other food was good. The Fettucine Carbonara was tasteless other than salt, and whilst the pizza base was good, the toppings were sparse. The table next to us also complained about their meals and left without eating much of their meal. It was a really disappointing experience all round, and we will absolutely not return. Can...
