Crusty Devil Bakehouse — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Coffee - everyone sizes differently and these are small. Pic below - white cup my usual medium - brown cup - devil’s medium. Disappointing value - and meant it was far sweeter than I intended. Next time I try a new spot I’ll remember to ask for it to be on the side for me to add. Coffee had a bizarre bitterness, completely disconnected from any other flavours, which were mostly hidden in a void where the flavour notes would usually be.

Sandwich - nasty bread - doughy supermarket cheap sliced loaf - zero bounce, zero texture and slightly salty the only flavour. Woefully under filled and nothing towards the edges - just a disappointing blob in the centre - 1/2 requested fillings included - there were only two egg mayo and lettuce. 8am - weekday morning - no lettuce? Mega fresh spar is next door but one. How hard is it to get a lettuce?

Cream donuts - pretty vile. No texture - no bounce, no crispy outer - just soggy, bland no taste dough. Filled with not remotely ever been cream. It’s a weird taste-void with an unpleasant slimy greasy texture. Like margarine but more processed and less flavour, with a more disagreeable texture. Presentation. Equally bland and testament to the donuts. They lack anything beyond existence. Even their unpleasantness is from omission. Worse than supermarket stuff. Gutted.. +$60 and nothing actually pleasant enough to consume beyond a few bites. Still hungry but lost appetite now.

What a waste of 2.5hrs of life I don’t get to repeat.

And I still need to place an order somewhere else.

Current:- I'm writing up a new review of my experience. I have return to Crusty Devil bakehouse this morning to redem my 6 pack doughnuts, it has been a good 8/9 months ago but still was honoured. Thank you I was served by Lara who was kind and patient with me during my claim that I ordered another 6 pack of doughnuts. Thank you for the good service, I hope that my children will receive the same experience as I did today.

This afternoon I ask my children to purchase 6 variety doughnuts. As they we're purchasing this for me they were not treated with good service. The staff was asked to re package the doughnuts as the box was not made properly and was dinted in and the doughnuts inside got squash. Instead the staff just ripped the opening of the box and fix the dint on the box and refused to repackaged. This was supposed to be a gift. Poor customer service and a lack of respect no matter the age of...

Guys you’ve absolutely nailed it. Usually when faced with choices like different flavours there’s some which stand out well above the rest, your donuts are all equally amazing and when I came to your store was genuinely unsure which to settle for because there’s just SO many really really enticing options. You’ve literally sat there and thought of every possible food type flavour profile to create a donut around, it’s just done really really well. Your food is unreal, your quality is super fresh and your staff are great. So happy to have you in our suburb. Well done...
