I honestly forgot to take photos. That statement by itself should tell you what you need to know, but if you want more than that then I have what you want.
The food, or at least the dishes I have tried, have been fantastic in terms of presentation and taste. The serving sizes are also fantastic, easily on par with or surpassing other Japanese restaurants. As a side note, my father constantly complains about me saying that food isn't spicy when he burns his mouth from the spice/curry present, so please beware that some foods may be a bit spicy.
The service is efficient and friendly, as expected of a family type restaurant. I don't know what more to say, I'm not exactly social myself so I can't say much more than I appreciated the efficiency and friendliness that was shown to me.
As for the atmosphere, quite frankly the inside is nicely decorated and very cozy while the outside is spacious and almost isolated from the rest of the shops present nearby. It is a nice area for lunch and from what I've seen during the dinner times, it is also a very good spot for dinner.
Overall, if you're in the area and want some good Japanese food of not only good quality but also quantity, then this place is your only choice. Simultaneously because it is the only Japanese restaurant I know of that is in the vicinity, but also because it is honestly just...
Read moreThis place is an absolute gem! The food is legit, authentic, and reminds me of restaurants in Japan. You get a BIG meal AND a can of drink for like $12, so their prices are cheap like Japanese prices too - by far the cheapest Japanese food within a 10km radius. Somewhow, it's also strangely refreshing to see a Japanese restaurant in Brisbane that's actually run by Japanese people. This place was an unexpectedly great find and has become a favourite, and a staple.
Their Spicy Pork Yakisoba and Karaage Donburi are among the best I've had in Australia and stack up against almost any I've had in Japan too. Love this place!
Edit: Also, please don't listen to Jack. You get a free CAN of drink with every rice bowl. They tell you to choose a CAN of drink from the fridge, and it says CAN quite clearly on the menu. Old mate must not have listened and grabbed a 2L Coke and started chugging away hahaha. You can't rate a restaurant badly because you can't follow simple...
Read moreA cute little Japanese restaurant in Coopers Plains, found within a strip of shops and restaurants! It’s quite a relaxed atmosphere here and seems like a family run joint. It has a decent amount of food options and enough to suit most people’s tastes. There are larger dishes and smaller dishes. I got the teriyaki chicken and veggies dish. It was super tasty and huge for the price. It was $14.50 with a bottle of water / miso!! Can’t get that anywhere these days.
In terms of getting here, there is a heap of parking just outside! The restaurant is quite small so it may be worthwhile booking ahead if you have a group. However, when we got there, there weren’t many people, so you might be alright!
I’d recommend for a bite if you’re in the area. Super good value and high...
