Red Rooster Coopers Plains — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I've always held a soft spot for RR. This little store is clean and I've never seen it busy. The food is always fresh and made with care unlike the competition which seem to think the fast in 'fast' food means 'carelessness'.

Wait time isn't long and the staff are friendly. Not in a great location but fast food outlets rarely are.

The outdoor eating environment is miniscule and provides a shade cloth for shelter from the sun. The tables are dirty at times in this area but I'm not one to eat in and have only observed this mess whilst waiting there for my order be completed.

The only slight issue I had earlier today was when my popcorn chicken order was taking a long time. I had an Uber on the way and almost 10 minutes had passed. I asked the shop assistant if they would be ready soon?

Apparently the cook had somehow missed my order on the screen entirely.

They were ready 3 minutes later. Those little fried chicken bits...

Ordered a qtr chicken and chips, thigh piece. The server at drive-thru asked if I wanted the $5 special, and after saying yes, proceeded to tell me the promotion had finished..then why ask me? She then asked me what about the other packs? What packs you ask..the 5 packs of qtr chicken and chips. Umm no, i said thigh piece, not 5 qtr chickens. Anyway, after getting home and removing the chips on top I discovered a dried out piece of meat with leather for skin. Meat was so dry it was like jerky. Also ordered a ripper sub with no lettuce. After removing about 4 tablespoons of dressing from my sub (would you like chicken with your dressing) I discovered I was given 2 chicken fingers and not chicken tenders. The chips were nice and fresh though. Will not be returning here. Worst Red Rooster I...

Not sure why the most recent reviews are so negative. Since the new management the place has gone from a 1/5 to a 5/5 for me. This is the best red rooster I've ever had and I speak highly of it to my friends and family. I come here about twice a week for a variety of different things and it's the only takeaway I eat currently. The quality is fresh, and consistently fresh, I've never been upset by the quality of food or service. They have never got an order wrong. They aren't stingy and don't squish the chip box to serve less chips, sometimes even get given a family size box of chips when ordering a large. Guys, keep up the good work. You are definitely one of the top tasting and cleanest Red Roosters...
