King's Curry Hut — Restaurant in Brisbane City

The service here is absolutely horrendous. The servers and staff need a lesson in customer service. We were left waiting for an hour with 0 communication. We ordered drinks at the beginning of the meal and had to ask twice to get them, the first time they tried to tell us we'd already gotten them and after we insisted they said they'd get them but almost 20 minutes passed and we had to ask again , 40 minutes it took us to get our drinks which were bottles that just needed to be taken out of the fridge. We ordered nearly $300 worth of food and less than half of it came out in the hour we were sitting there. Around this point we got frustrated and asked what was happening and one server told us the order never went through. As we were about to place another order another server came out and told us that it had gone through. Mind you throughout this whole ordeal we didn't get a single apology and one of the servers in particulars tone was snarky and dismissive. People around us had been served and already eaten and left. After another 10 minutes of waiting we got fed up and decided to leave. They insisted that we just wait '5 more minutes' because the food had already been cooked. If they had had the professionalism to communicate with us from the beginning we may have waiting however at this point we were frustrated and had 3 hungry kids and just wanted to go home. Whilst this was all going on all 3 of the servers came out and tried to talk us out of leaving, where was this dedication when we were sitting there waiting politely? Our table was left uncleared and we had to asked twice to have plates from the entrees removed. Whenever we spoke to them they acted as if they didn't want to be there. Whatever food we did get was delicious and they did give us a 15% discount after my mother told them it was courtesy to things like that in customer service however we will never we coming back here and we have advised all our friends as well. Extremely disappointed after a long awaited return.Treating my boys before the start on a new term , Read reviews and figured recent ones were good. It's 7.50 I'm leaving this place with my kids , starving , getting a maccas !! We arrived at 6pm plenty of time to eat and get home ready for school tomorrow...... we have left having just eaten starters, and yet we were the first in there and everyone else was served meals, while we sat and waited......... waitresses were horrendous seemed very young, inexperienced, did not know the food on the menu and yet said had worked there 6 months. I'm feeling violated for being a UK born Aussie resident wanting to appreciate a traditional curry house as everyone else was of Indian decent and yet we were the only ones left waiting for food. The manager on duty tonight has potential however locals, uber eats and take away seem to take priotrity and with low unexperience staff numbers on duty he is fighting a losing battle. Had a dinner last week with my wife and 2.5 years daughter. Good set up but very bad customer service. There is no greeting and smiley faces in the restaurant. Seem me extra burden for them. Firstly they forgot to give us water then papadam . When I asked for they give us old last day cooked papadam. I returned them. When I food arrived it were sweet curries. I don't know how they can claim authentic Indian Cuisine. Another thing which i feel, May be they don't want to serve Indian people , they are more happy to serve to serve other Australian.
