This place has become very mid in the past year or two. Cannot recommend. Have lived in the area for nearly 10 years and frequented this place. Wasn't just good for a Noodle Box, but best generic Asian stir-fry in the area. Something changed. If you look at the reviews from 2+ years ago, you'll see they were mostly positive. But the reviews since have been mostly negative.
The meat quality has gone very off, and they skimp hard on the portions. This was okay for a while, then they started skimping on the vegetables too. Now the boxes are mainly noodles and sauce and a few bits of toppings.
You could get delicious, hearty cubes of Tofu, but they have swapped them out for these awful, overly sweet, paper thin and quite frankly feral tofu shards that are sickening.
The additional chili is never consistent. Sometimes a medium is nothing, sometimes a mild is extra hot and inedible.
Okay, so I'll order some Supreme Leader instead? Half the items on the menu aren't available! And the "chicken" itself is mostly batter.
The staff are consistently cooked, they look and act doped out, they seem to lack English-comprehension skills, and don't know how to operate the ordering system. I've had more wrong orders and / or missing items in the past year than the nine years prior, and I only order basic items off the menu. And even then I have to repeat my order several times.
Overall, just an incredibly bad experience these days. The food is gross, definitely not worth the cost, and the service simply sucks.
Don't waste your time...
Read moreMy daughter and I decided to have Noodle box for dinner tonight and both of us were very disappointed. My daughter ordered Thai Sticky pork belly and a drink. I presented my Ate concept members card to collect points. I have then place my order and presented my Ate Concept members card and had a staff member say my card had expired. Weird when I used it down the coast only a few weeks ago. And I received an email today saying you’re nearly at the $10 mark. Another reason why we decided to have Noodle Box tonight. Nope I wasn’t collecting any points tonight which got me to thinking other times I have shopped there I haven’t been able to collect points. (Was told they are waiting on an upgrade if their system). Anyway back to the food. Because their food is hot when purchased we took at detour and popped to KMart. On returning home 20 mins later my daughter has started eating her meal to find it had prawns in. She doesn’t drive so back in my car I go. 3.5 k. My food going cold at home. To be told they are very sorry we can make you another one. That’s fair but no consideration for having to go out of my way to return a meal. Shame on them. Only wish the meal looked as good as it does in their advertising. Both our meals...
Read morenoodle box is one of my favourite Asian fast food joints and I have been craving for fried rice, so i ordered my food Special fried rice and started having it at the venue itself. Took a bite and it looked liked it had a lot of salt, I let it go, sometimes it happens, so I took my second and third bite and still there was no reduction in that ‘salt’ taste. So I went in and told the staff there is too much salt and so there was this young arrogant staff member (with a nose ring) that was serving the raw food to the chefs that must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed or probably just hates her job or just life in general haughtily says “we don’t put salt man” and carried on with her work and offered to make a new one all good so far. The the cook pipes in saying we don’t add salt and she’s says yes I told him with an attitude and disdain, obviously I got upset too, I made paid for this dish, returned it after three bites and I not expecting attitude. If she had just said no worries mate I’ll get you a new one, all good. Keep your attitude at home and in check when you work in hospitality and in the restaurant business.
Do yourself a favour buy some chips from the convenience store next door but not...
