Decided to dine here as the google reviews were pretty great, We arrived and ordered coffees and two breakfasts, the coffee came out and were pretty nice. When the food was brought out it arrived with a very unpleasant smell coming from the eggs. We tried to push through and eat the meal but it was totally inedible. My partner spoke with the chef , who took photos of the meals and sent it to his boss- he let us know that he has no authority to do anything in that situation and we would have to wait for his boss to arrive. So we waited , when the boss arrived she walked straight past us to the table barely giving us a smile - we awkwardly walked over and introduced ourselves, she looked up and very bluntly asked what was wrong with our meals, I explained how we felt. She then proceeded to taste each individual part of the meal from our plates and said âthere is nothing wrong with this, Iâm not a charity. Iâm not giving away free foodâ To which I replied that we arenât looking for a charity just food that we could actually eat. She became quite frustrated at us not liking her food so grabbed the plate and approached every single customer in the restaurant rudely and abruptly shoving a plate in their face asking if it smelt bad. I have never in my life experienced such hostility from a business owner, when she came back out to us she almost said as if she was a school girl âsee no one else thinks itâs badâ . My partner and I stood there in shock. Not once were we offered a remake or even an apology that the food wasnât up to standard. Literally no resolution at all apart from âwell Iâm not giving you a refund, you can leave a google reviewâ.
The thing that was really upsetting is that it felt as if she was accusing us for not being able to eat the food, it would have been nice if a remake was offered- or anything actually. I think the boss needs to re-think the industry she has chosen to be in- because hospitable...
Read moreIâve been to Oxley once before ajd itâs really good. Firstly , the iced matcha latte was pretty good. Way better than many places but it doesnât taste much like actual matcha the cinnamon taste makes it taste . The Aussie breakfast was really good but needs a little more flavour . The eggs werenât very fluffy as expected . Iâm not sure how but I needed to use a knife JISY to have a some parts cause it wouldnât just break it was like slime. The sausages were good and needed more flavour and was extremely oily I can understand yes it was a rush but I mean there was too much oil residue. Has brown were good but really mushy and needed seasonings. Thereâs not mucyb needeinh to talk abt for the toast or bacon but the mushroom it was pretty good but there was only 3-4 pieces which is kinda sad I love mushrooms . Overal this dish wasnât that bad but I recommend the sandwiches . The worker were nice but the food took quite longer then expected usually I donât complain about this but it was really long. The scenery was cute and the atmosphere was pretty good. Overall this cafe is 7/10 not bad but...

Popped into Oxley CafĂŠ for a breakfast stop while out riding bikes with my Partnerâ the food itself was solid: generous serve, cooked well, and definitely hit the spot after a big morning out. Full brekky was packed, and everything tasted fresh and hearty.
BUT â they missed the mark on a few key things: My girlfriend ordered karaage chicken with rice⌠then we were told no rice, and it got swapped to rice noodles ,bit of a letdown when youâre craving something specific. I ordered a Coke Zero and got regular Coke instead. Not a drama, they swapped it â but attention to detail matters. Lastly, a poached egg we ordered on the side just didnât show up until we asked. Thatâs three small mistakes in one visit.
Staff were friendly and the vibe was relaxed, but they need to tighten up on service flow and order accuracy.
Would still recommend if youâre in the area, but hoping for a smoother...
