Miss Maud Carousel — Restaurant in Western Australia

First half of my visit was actually pleasant - the staff taking my order was cheery and polite, the cappuccino and mojito presentable and acceptable. There are pretty heart-sized small chocolate bon-bons sold there, which I bought a couple , and they tasted great, too. The cafe atmosphere is cosy and nice

What spoiled the experience- the second half of my time there, where I crossed paths with one ugly, haughty patron, and another ugly, haughty staff who both seemed to have. a personal problem with me. Said patron was seated next to me; naturally, our eyes met at some point and I smiled at her out of courtesy. BAM! Big mistake - she gave me an ugly scowl in return. Then came another server (different person from the sweet lady who first took my order) who flicked her dirty rag (which she used to wipe the other tables) in my direction.

I had actually planned on coming back to try the other cakes and pastries at Miss Maud, but after this VERY unpleasant experience where it seems I was clearly made to feel unwelcome, I don't think I'll be wasting any more of my time or money here,. Or even other branches of the same franchise. Good riddance to...

In store of Westfield Carousel (In front of Myer) Shopping mall, the employee who look like a bit more senior (probably the manager) Opinion polls are disharmonious and arrogant, which is extremely disappointing.

Another problem is that their sandwiches are selling $6.90 in a takeaway container, and they are priced at $12.25 in a plate , Unbeknownst to me, the waiter ordered a plated sandwich for me, and I pointed to the packaged sandwich on the counter, and I paid for it, and at the same time I ordered a small of chips for dine in. They have to wait for more than 20 minutes. After that, when I was check the bil , I had found out the price was wrong. I asked the staff why the charge was not what I saw on the counter. The price is much higher, she said that it is a service charge, because you having the sit down and staff service, I saw the customers next table who have order take away coffee and pastries and sit down to eat their food, and there is no extra service charge! So, Like them! I’m will order takeaway and sit down to eat so you don't get overcharged innocently. This is SO weird!! I have to pay for extra money, but I get bad...

went to miss mauds at carousel this morning quite hungry after a night shift- ordered a chicken parmi and pot of tea for dine in service. tea came out no problems but the parmi was disappointing to say the least. i couldnt get the knife through it- from any angle. it was that dry and tough. the salad wasnt fresh. the chips were fine though. politely went to get the meal replaced at the counter. the staff were accomodating and apologetic and agreed to replace my meal. a few minutes later a staff member brought me a meal and apologized for the inconvenience and all seemed well. however this time too the chicken patty was too tough to get the knife through. the chips tasted oily. i had the salad and a cup of tea and left the cafe. have been there for pancakes and coffee last year but they were dry. thought id give the food another chance but definitely not going back there...
