Beautiful views and location, directly onto the beach with its clear blue waters. Service was generally good, our food was ok but it is pricey for what you get (kids meals are $16 for example, no drink or ice cream etc included) and they are another place with a cc surcharge ($40 not being enough per person for a fairly basic lunch and a drink). The rest of the family enjoyed their lunch, my steak sandwich was extremely bland though, couldnât taste any seasoning at all, and there was a chewy streak of gristle running through the middle, didnât finish it which is odd for me. All the chips on all the plates were over done. There was an older gentleman returning his calamari when I was ordering. Hygiene is lacking in some areas - used napkin left stuffed into a gap on the table, and we went through 20 water glasses trying to find 5 that were clean (most had bits of food, old lipstick, lip gloss etc still on the rim). Asked a staff member about it and they said (their words) âthey are washed but weâre too busy to given them a deep cleanâ (I think this means removing old lipstick). Iâm not sure why they were so overwhelmed as they were nowhere near capacity, maybe just over half the seats filled? A bit odd really, weâve been before and enjoyed it. Not sure whatâs happened since other than the prices going up. Location is still great, atmosphere is good. Used to recommend it to others, not so...

Made a booking at this place for 2pm for afternoon tea, closing time listed as 3pm. Booked a table as I was driving 40 minutes from Kalamunda, and wanted to be sure not to miss out. Got a call during the day asking if I could arrive at 1:45pm as the kitchen closes at 2pm. This was a nice touch as I would have been pretty annoyed to book a table when they donât even serve food. Rang on the way to order ahead as it was closer to 2pm (as predicted, thatâs why I booked that time!). On arrival, there was no table reserved, and they found a table for 4 to hastily sit me at. When you book for 5, and talk to the staff twice on the phone beforehand, you kind of expect that they will have a table for 5 ready. Not hard folks - little âreservedâ signs handy, just pop it on the table. Food came out quickly and was nice. Then I went to pay and order a juice. It was 2:18pm, and my friend had just ordered a juice a couple of minutes before. But no. They tell me the kitchen shuts for juices at 2:15pm. Oh the complicated rules you have to know to be a costumer at this place. Itâs a cafe at the beach, open until 3pm. Guys, get your gear together and actually serve until 3pm - folks arenât paying to come and watch you clean tables for 45 minutes. This is like Perth service from 10 years ago that everyone...
Read moreVery very disappointing breakfast at exorbitant prices . Dined in with 4 adults, 1 child and 9 month old baby. Squashed into another table with a lady in a wheelchair, who could not even get out unless we all moved ! So disrespectful and thoughtless to this patron. My eggs Benedict was very unappetising to say the least ! Dry rocket , almost hard boiled poached eggs, pale dry salmon with grey discoloured edges, and dry cold toast , hollandaise was the best component on the plate and not worth the $27.90 I paid. We had 2 serves of fritters which came out in minutes, and screamed reheated, although dry and luke warm. Kids breakfast was grey pan burnt scrambled eggs, a soggy shop bought hash brown, and a dry slice of toast we had to ask for butter ! The 5th breakfast was simple eggs on toast which I find incredible to be charged $16.90 for ! 1 mimosa and 2 coffees at almost $150 was a complete waste of money . To top it off, no requested high chair on a pre booked table, we gave up ! Even the reservation was traumatic, 3 calls, cut off twice, and then a bizarre call back asking me to confirm booking, all in 10 minutes ! Won't be back , wish we had gone a few minutes down the road to Odyssea, however this was my sons choice, never again, and we has a visitor from UK with us, I was...
