This was absolutely incredible from beginning to end 👏 We started with the Prawn macaron with sea urchin. Now I personally don't like prawns or macarons but Bella wanted to try, so i thought I would at least have a taste, and I am surely glad I did. It was an amazing opening gambit to let us know we were in for a very exciting meal. It was the perfect balance between sweet and savoury. The savouriness and creaminess of the prawns was perfectly balanced by the sweetness of the macaron. With the salsa underneath cutting through all that richness in the most perfect way. We followed with snapper in vine leaves with preserved lemons, roasted cherry tomatoes and sea foam. Cooked to perfection and all coming together harmoniously in one perfect bite. We also got the grilled cauliflower as a side dish with fish roe spread. The cauliflower was cooked perfectly, but the whole dish could have done with more seasoning to be honest. The Beef Wellington was well crafted and the jus was silken and rich and without doubt the best thing on the plate. We asked the waiter for dessert recommendations, and were not disappointed. The chocolate and hazelnut brownie was the best chocolate dessert I have ever eaten in any restaurant ever. The pistachio and Orange blossom millefeuille was an absolute taste sensation. The caramelised Puff pastry was technically perfect and the whole dessert was perfectly balanced and just incredibly delicious. The service was impeccable and atmosphere was perfect. It was so refreshing to be looked after by staff that were so passionate and excited about the food they are making. An incredible chef with fresh new ideas, and a pastry chef that excels at her craft, and I am more than excited to take this journey with them. We will be back many times over, just to try everything on this menu, and every menu change that comes...

My partner and I love live jazz and we wanted to come on a Friday night when they have live jazz. Thankfully, it's not in-your-face, upbeat jazz, but a very talented soft jazz duo that perfectly set the scene.
The food menu - incredible. Lots of choice and reasonably priced for a fine dining establishment. We had the octopus and scallops for entree and both were a culinary delight and possibly the best presented meal we have seen.
Our wait staff, Ben, was super friendly, explained everything and was present without being annoying. We were happy to see Simone floating around, who we didn't realise was a part owner, as we fondly remember him from Cup and Co, as all Innaloo locals would!
The wine list was excellent and Andy, the sommelier, really knew his stuff. We narrowed down 3 bottles and let Andy give us his expert opinion to solidify our choice, and we were not disappointed. The wine was also decanted (it was 11 years old), which so few venues do anymore.
For mains we had the lamb shank and beef fillet. The beef was a party in your mouth! Plating was exceptional and the taste - Amazing.
We are not normally dessert people but after viewing the menu and watching other diners' plates arrive, we got the apple and lava cake desserts. OMFG - divine. Washed down with some fabulous nips of Whiskey. Andy even let us try a couple (at his suggestion).
This was such a great venue for our birthday date night away from the kids, and we would come back in a heartbeat....
Read moreWe had a fantastic evening at Avalon last night. It's how a great restaurant should be. You're pleasantly welcomed at the door then taken to your table. You get to gather yourself and left with enough time to go through the extensive drink list and wine list before you are approached by the wait staff. Great selection of Australian wines. A nice cocktail lands on your table as you get guided through the extensive menu which has everything that you can ask for. We went for the set meat menu and it did not disappoint. Nice bread and butter selection. Olives to die for. A slight bitter taste on the eggplant dish but that's what you can get sometimes with fresh vegetables. All entrees were great. The wine package with the matching wines were delicious. Just enough wine poured to make it through the course. Nice background music by live piano music. It doesn't get much better than this. The food is cooked to perfection and the sauces are to die for. The sizes of the portions are perfect and the food is warm when it arrives. Great craftmanship! Well executed desserts and great techniques and flavors. The only thing to comment on is sorbet on the menu in winter but that's from a personal point of view. The dish was very well balanced. Couldn't resist but had to try a third dessert. Finished with some nice Whiskys. One Australian and one Scottish. Great to see restaurants that make use of a good sommelier. It takes the experience to a different level. This is one of Perth's best places in town to have a great and memorable experience. We'll be back...
