Fantastic experience. The decor was tasteful and modern, providing a high class atmosphere without feeling pretentious or tacky. The staff were also excellent. All who served us were attentive, friendly and highly professional. The food was superb. We started with the Galloping Horses Canape' which was a spiced minced duck mix served on pineapple and mandarin pieces. These were spot on, the flavours were well balanced and the level of spice was hot but not at all over powering. My only issue with this dish was the price. At $14 for four canapés these were expensive for what they were. For entree we had the curry puffs and fish cakes. Both of these were excellent but i would certainly recommend the curry puffs. The pastry was crisp and flaky and barely held in the delicious filling. For mains we had the twice cooked pork belly, Massaman curry and a Pad Thai. The pork belly was magnificent. So much so that it should be used as an example for every other restaurant in Perth of how to cook pork belly correctly! The meat was tender and moist while the crackling was firm and crispy. This was perfectly complemented by the delicious thai green mango salad. The massaman was also delicious, the beef was beautifully tender and fell apart on the fork, the sauce was perfectly balanced and not at all greasy. The Pad Thai came out a little late but was none the less tasty and again well balanced. Without a doubt the chefs here are very skilled at what they do. I look forward to coming back with friends to try the duck curry.
Edit Came back for the first time since they moved to Hillary's... still as good as I remember. Don't...
Read moreWe’ve come here tonight to celebrate an 18th birthday and it was ruined! We’ve had this booked for a while for this special occasion.
We arrived at 6:30pm and ordered 10 minutes later to only get our entrees at 7:30pm. Everyone around us that arrived after got all their entrees and main meals served. After asking the only ONE waitstaff numerous times when they will be served, we were told that UBER orders were given priority instead of face to face customers in the restaurant.
By 7:50pm we walked out, after asking multiple times where the mains meals are, only to be given unrelated excuses. We got told to cancel on the night when we were sitting down at the restaurant.
Totally ruined a birthday celebration. The lady on the night “representing” the restaurant was very rude and did not consider how much of a special evening this was. This lady has no customer service experience and ruined our night. Disgraceful. DO NOT COME HERE.
Boarder line racism and got told we were “VIPS” and “arrogant.” We were just waiting for our meal for an hour like a normal customer should.
The restaurant was not busy as there were empty tables.
More determined for us to cancel our booking and not actually wanting to serve us at all and was glad that when we left and was trying to make poor excuses to give us a free meal. Maybe focus on an Uber company than a restaurant. I’ve never had to walk out of a restaurant in world travels and in my home town. Pathetic. Do better.
Just don’t bother. Just NO.
Wouldn’t even give this a one...

My family decided to try Dusit Dheva By The Sea this evening after hearing good things about their food. We ubereats ordered meals for our family of four and included some dishes to cater for my own dietary requirements and my mother's requirements.
On arrival we realised we were missing one of our main dishes, the dish that was specifically for my mother to be able to eat for dinner. My mother called the restaurant and they were extremely rude and dismissive of her. A member of staff pinned the missing dish on the ubereats driver claiming it was in the bag. Whatever the issue, our meal was not there and any reasonable restaurant would at least attempt to resolve this issue. But not Dusit Dheva By The Sea. All they could offer us is to contact Uber Eats. Then she was passed on to the manager who was even more rude and hearing this phone conversation was frankly appalling. He chatted back to her and was in no way accommodating at all. Not even offering for us to come collect a new one of the dish. He didn't even apologise and when my mum asked for an apology he again chatted back to her. He even had the audacity to question mums dietary requirements. Such a shame because the food we did get was good but we can safely say we will not be returning.
This restaurant is lead by manager 'Mike' who lacks any awareness of basic customer service and even basic human courtesy and awareness. We just wanted to be able to feed our family. We will not be...
