Congee House — Restaurant in Cockburn Central

I ordered from Menulog and I waited over an hour for the food. The App indicated that the restaurant received my order but it did not move onto “being prepared” for over one hour and the time kept going up. I called the restaurant twice and a lady who did not speak proper English answered and she could not answer my questions so she passed the phone onto someone else who told me that my order was ready but they were just waiting on a driver. I told her that my App stated the order was received but not prepared yet. She assured me it was and the issue was with the driver. So I decided to wait and after twenty minutes of the App still saying “order has been received’ and the time going up i rang again and got the same “waiting for a driver story”. I wanted to cancel my order but i would not get a refund because apparently “food was prepared already”. Then Suddenly OVER NEARLY ONE AND A HALF HOURS OF WAITING! The App finally changed to preparing order and my meal was delivered within 20 minutes. The menulog driver said he got the notification to pick up the food ten minutes ago, and the food was hot! I don’t believe they had issues with the driver! they just didn’t prepare the order and lied about it! Even though the food is good the delivery Service SUCKS! Don't offer a delivery service if you cant handle it and don’t blame The menu log driver. If my food was prepared over an hour ago it would be stone cold! Not good enough...

Food was average at best ,service was pathetic ,tables took for ever to be cleared after previous customer.watched 1 person come and go several times to receive his correct order .The 1 item was completely left off our order .After waiting we eventually asked if it was coming after we had finished every thing else we where told we should have asked earlier about the missed item not waited as of it was our fault .We then asked to have it take away only to be told we had to pay extra for the container. Now once on the road driving home we find we have been given the wrong product To much yak yak behind the counter totally disorganised has gone backwards have eaten here many times prior but lately have seen a decline.DO NOT RECOMEND THIS...

Flavours of the Philippines at its best! The owner of this place is a MasterChef at producing tasty and quality food. I enjoy coming here at least once a fortnight whether it be take away or dine in, by myself or with friends. They’ve also recently done a facelift which has a fresh feel and has made my recent visit even more pleasant than it already was. Staff are friendly and helpful for those who are new to the cuisine. My personal go-to’s are the spring rolls(hands down! best tasting spring rolls in Perth!), adobo, pork sisig, beef rendang, mami and laksa.

Must also admit I’ve ordered trays of dishes (to cater to 20 or so people), to bring to events or birthdays! All guests loved and devoured every crumb.
