Oriental Delights — Restaurant in Cockburn Central

Discovered there was the oriental delights restaurant by walking past so I decided to try. The owner, Mr Chan was very friendly, hospitable and professional. He was willing to chat. The food was very delicious n authentic, I definitely enjoyed it. First time I ordered the chicken and prawn laksa, it was very well n thoroughly cooked, the meat was cooked well n the soup was aromatic and fresh. The laksa was comparable and authentic similar to the Singaporean and Malaysian style. Yesterday I went to eat again at oriental delights, ordered the egg sauce hor fun. The soup was smooth. The team was also generous with the ingredients that they put like they gave three prawns in the laksa where some places gave two. Meat and noodles was also very fresh and thoroughly cooked as well. Included wok hei as well which was pleasing. I would definitely like to return to Oriental Wok again as I am impressed with Mr Chan and his dedicated team after the two visits. Really good serving size and very affordable. I think they specialise in more Malaysian dishes than Japanese?

Both Rendang Lemak and Laksa are tasty and flavorful. Heard the laksa is a popular choice and is usually sold out. Don't forget to ask for the authentic noodles type (forgot what they used!)👏🏻 the chef even personally delivered the laksa to our table and asked us for feedback after we devoured the whole bowl.

The smell and lights could definitely need more improvement as it looks like it could pass as a candlelight dinner 😅 but that wont stop anyone for a quick yet tasty meal, right? 💯

Food was delicious here. This place offers Japanese and Malaysian food. We only get to try their Malaysian food this time.

Tried their combo that is available only on Saturday and Sunday and also their Pan mee. Both were tasty. Picked 2 meat and 2 veg for the combo. They had Mackerel curry and Yam Pork as their signature meat dish which I picked. Braised tofu and stir fry bean sprout as veg. I loved the curry leaves in the Mackerel curry, def the star of the meal. Pan Mee had such a tasty broth. It was a satisfying meal all in all.

Also ordered their curry chicken nasi lemak for takeaway. Curry chicken was delicious. Again loving the curry leaves.
