Seriously 1 of the top 5 scrumptious steak sandwiches with the lot that I've ever eaten.
Nicole does an absolutely amazing job on the grill!
She is just awesome & always willing to please....you can see/taste her passion for creating great food.
BEST steak sandwiches with the lot in Colac.
These are NOTHING like the tasteless unlovingly slapped together processed fast foods options such as McDonald's or Hungry Jack's.
Good quality, fresh & tasty ingredients....very generous portions.
The steak is 200gram porterhouse....it's thick & juicy.
Very messy, juicy & drippy to eat....but that's what makes it even more YUMMY!
Their bacon is very tasty & they are definitely not skimpy with it....so delicious...afterall EVERYTHING is better with bacon!
NOT like paying $2 for bacon at McDonald's or Hungry Jack's & getting 1 very thinly sliced overpriced piece of tough bacon that's no bigger than a credit card.
I also highly recommend their crumbed fish.
Only fish & chip shop in Colac that does crumbed fish.....crispy crunchy crumbs outside with beautiful tender tasty fresh fish inside....generous sized portions as well.
Their burgers with the lot & chicken schnitzel rolls with the lot are also very moreish.
I haven't tried their souvlakis yet....but I'm sure that they will be absolutely delish as well.
I've also been eyeing off their lamb & chicken mixed grill pack for 2....I reckon it would be super tasty....maybe add a steak, bacon & eggs to it.
Their gravy is amazing too....so yummy on their hot crispy chips with chicken salt....takes the humble chip butty to a whole new level.
I reckon their gravy recipe must be a long standing highly guarded family secret.
You all do an awesome...
Read moreApollo Seafoods saved my marriage! After my husband endured a particularly hard nightshift and stayed awake all day so as to not ruin his sleep tonight, he declared he NEEDED fish and chips for dinner. I began the ordering process via UberEats. When I asked my husband what he wanted, he told me he wanted a spring roll. I scrolled through the menu and could not find spring rolls on the online menu. What followed next was a continuous repeat of me telling my husband there were no spring rolls on the menu, and him throwing a 46 year old tantrum haha. He even went to far as to call Apollo Seafoods to ask if they had spring rolls. The lovely young lady told us that yes they did and my husband informed her that they were missing from the online menu. He hung up and a few minutes later received a phone call from the manager at Apollo Seafoods. The manager told him to order 3 dipping sauces and pop in a note via the online order to replace the dipping sauces with a spring roll. To the staff, thank you for helping my sleep deprived, hungry husband and for saving my sanity....
Read moreI just bought a small tail end fillet of a fish (NZL Blue Grenadier aka Hoki). The owner knows I am just a passing tourist and was very friendly to me. I asked how much is the fish, but he wont answer my question directly but he said it is about $8 per fillet. I saw him keyed in $40 per kg. The price came to around for $21 for about 500g but I didnt complain. I asked for some ice for packing and he did so accordingly. When I came to paying he said $1 extra for the ice. I took the fish and felt totally being ripped off by the shopping experience.😣
PS I actually asked him to cut it larger to include the loin part of the fish but he cuts it short of the loin portion which is considered the prime cut. I will update this after I tried it to see if it is really fresh as claimed by the owner. (Update: I broiled the fish in garlic and butter. The fish is very fresh as claimed).
My background: Seafood is my forte after owning many restaurants for the past 30 years plus a diploma from The Boston Fish...
