This had the potential to be a 5-Star review. Unfortunately, after several attempts to contact you through your website contact form and via direct email, you have neglected to respond.

“Hey there,
I reached out through your website and have not heard back. Trying a direct email this time.
Writing to share my first-time experience with your restaurant.
For starters, the food was great!
Unfortunately, my takeaway order was wrong and I was overcharged.
I checked out your dinner menu on your website and phoned in my order around 5:50pm.
I ordered the following:
Thursday Beef Schnitzel w/ Chips & Salad - $17.50 Diane Sauce - $3.00 NT Creamy Seafood Chowder Pie w/ Chips & Salad - $26.00 Kids Pasta - $9.00
I expected my bill to be $55.50.
When I arrived to pick up my food around 6:05pm, I was charged $64.00.
I felt there might of been a mistake so I requested a receipt. Unfortunately, three staff members were unable to figure out how to print one. They gave me my eftpos receipt as a proof of purchase.
I was unable to spend any longer in the restaurant enquiring about the charge as I had my kids waiting in the car.
When I got home and unpacked the food, we received:
Thursday Beef Schnitzel w/ Chips & Salad Diane Sauce Seafood Chowder Kids Pasta Garlic Bread
It looks like in addition to the price mixup, I was given chowder and garlic bread instead of chowder pie w/ chips and salad. Luckily the soup was extremely tasty!
Would you please contact me back to a resolution.
Looking forward to...
Read moreBeer was nice and cold, however food was very disappointing, the pork belly from the pork belly salad was just thinly sliced deep fried and extremely dry and crunchy pork, the noodles tasted stale however the salad was tasty. Hubby's pizza was a huge disappointment, served on a ordinary dinner plate caused the base to go quite soggy and chewy. Word of advise wooden serving boards would have been a far better option. I did speak to the rather chirpy gentleman at the service counter about the pizza, and he was quite happy to refund as I said we couldn't wait around for a replacement. I would have left happy and let it be at that however what I didn't appreciate was the conversation between staff members at the counter about my pizza complaint particularly when I was standing right there amongst this conversation waiting for my refund (after my pizza was taken back to the kitchen) the irish sounding girl talking about it to the gentleman at the counter she's lucky I didn't call her up on that convo about what was said however I just gave her a polite critique on how a pizza should be served. Word of advise never talk about a customer or question something returned to the kitchen when a customer is standing right there in...
Read moreThis is my personal favourite watering hole on the weekend. Coolalinga Tavern is only a 10 minute easy drive from where I live. While a modern Tavern, it does have an outback feel about. It has large dining areas with different colour wood separating areas. The bar is long and large and staff are friendly and efficient. However, it's the food which is a standout. I just got back from the Sunday Lunch where my sons and I had the Sunday roast. Pork belly and freshly cooked vegetables at a price of just $16.50. Yes, it's not a misprint. The pork was of the melt in the mouth variety. Ina word...yum! Prompt service and lots of staff. I prefer sitting in the ash coloured wood dining area, near the kitchen but this is just my taste. I have tried hard but honestly, I can't fault the Coolalinga Tavern. It is a nice atmosphere and suitable for old, young and families. The surrounding area has lots of FIFO mine workers who work in WA but prefer to live in the Darwin rural area when off shift. It's working class clientele....but a very rich working class. I could go on but time to end. Give it a try is my suggestion. It will be...
