We visited Cooma Indian Restaurant on our way back from the Snowy Mountains, hoping for some comfort food. Unfortunately, our experience was far from comforting. The food was subpar, to say the least. It lacked flavor and freshness, making it difficult to enjoy any of the dishes. The real issue, however, was the service. The lady handling our order, who was also managing the restaurant, was incredibly rude. The worst part of our visit occurred when my son got sick from the food and vomited. Instead of offering any assistance, the lady got angry and made us clean it up ourselves. There was no empathy or help offered, which left us feeling humiliated and distressed. We ended up leaving without finishing our meal, completely disappointed. What was supposed to be a comforting end to our trip turned into the worst restaurant experience of our lives. Avoid this place if you value good food and decent service.

Saw plenty of poor reviews, was staying close, so I thought that I would check for myself. Got there at 830pm, ordered Butter Chicken, plain rice and a cheese/garlic naan. Hoping to dine in. As it was approaching the 9pm close they brought the food out in a bag with take away containers. 😪 Took it back to my hotel room with the plastic fork that I had to ask for. Butter chicken sauce was fair tasting, however, really watery. 7 pieces of chicken (4 that had bone fragments in) was piss poor. The naan was super oily and was disappointing. Never tried the rice. Most of the meal ended up in the bin. WARNING, AS BUTTER CHICKEN IS A GOTO FOR A KIDS MEAL, BEAR IN MIND THAT HAVING BONE FRAGMENTS IS UNACCEPTABLE! It was not bone in! I know the difference after spending bulk time in India for work. Try the Thai or the Alpine pub bistro instead.

From snowy Mountain, i stopped here to have a tea/juice. After we order the drinks, I'm not sure the worker or boss, she asking me if just want to order drinks better take away, she mentioned it in very rude way. She also grabbed the plates on our table in a rough way! I was kinda shocked. As a Malaysian Indian, i feel shamed, why we was treated so bad. Is this restaurant only can dine in unless we order food? For drinks we can't have there??? So weird. My suggestion is to put a signboard stating that - dine in is not available for those who just want order drinks! Definitely i don't recommend this restaurant for their behaviour.

Cooma Indian Restaurant is a fantastic find, especially for those seeking authentic Indian flavours in the Snowy Mountains region. It's a welcome spot offering a genuine taste of India that truly satisfies your cravings. The food here can be exceptional. Diners have raved about the wonderfully soft and fresh Naan bread, perfect for scooping up delicious curries. The Navratan Korma comes highly recommended, often described as perfectly balanced and delicious. It’s clear they put care into creating flavourful dishes that hit the mark. It's a great place to enjoy a comforting Indian meal, whether you're stopping by for their value-packed Lunch Thali specials or settling in for a relaxed dinner. Plus, the option for BYO wine is a nice touch for those who like to bring their favourite bottle. If you're in Cooma and have a desire for quality Indian cuisine, Cooma Indian Restaurant is definitely worth a visit. It provides a much-appreciated and often delicious...

Cozy little Indian restaurant next to an Indian store in Cooma, NSW. Our group of 14 people mix dietary requirements entered the restaurant at almost closing hours on Thursday afternoon! Seeing group size chef and owner also accepted our request to dine in. We ordered veggie kadai, Panner butter masala onion pakora , garlic naan and Jeera rice for Vegetarian!! And non Vegetarian group ordered butter chicken, chicken tikka and garlic naan! Quality and taste was good! Per serve Quantity was just appropriate for 2 people to share, so we ordered accordingly!

Even though restaurant was about to close, they accepted our request and served! Their initial condition was to order everything at once, coz, chef has to finish the shift! They were kind enough to accept more order once we started eating! You can now guess how hungry were we at the time!! But the taste served satisfies...
