Its our tradition, everytime we get to a country town, we must stop and try out their local bakery. This one is one of the best during our road trip. We had ourselves a chilli pie ( the best I have ever had! They use real chilli not the powder one!!😋👌), a bowl of roasted pumpkin salad with almond and fetta, their defined!!😋👌 plenty in it, worth the $10!!, mango cheese cake ( love it!! Not too sweet and just delicious!! ), one of the best ninnies tart, chocolate e clair yum yum, an apple cream sponge which was really nice!! And a large long black.. Highly recommend this place!!😋👌 The staff were friendly, quick and just welcoming!🥰🥰 We will comeback again next time when we coming through 👍👍😃

Apart from the pub, I reckon this business is possibly the most popular small business in Coonabarabran. Excellent, fast and friendly service. They sell all bakery items - and prepared salads - you’ll find them in the fridge. They also sell birthday and anniversary cakes. Tucked away in the front of the shop is the town’s local cafe. Seating located out the front of the store. They now have new trading hours for Saturdays - open 6am to 1pm. The store is open 5:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday. Closed Sunday. Lots of parking out the front and at the rear.

Hands down one of the best pies we've ever tasted, and was a pleasant surprise stopping here when passing through on a long drive. There were lengthy queues, but this was only a good sign, but we were served quickly and it was definitely worth the wait! Reasonably priced with a good selection on offer.

What is wrong with the staff. Rude arrogant and nasty. AVOID. staff disgusting.

The woman behind the counter was flat-out rude—no greeting, no manners, and acted like serving customers was a burden. I tried to ask a simple question and got cut off mid-sentence. Zero interest in actually listening or helping.

To top it off, I was served a sausage roll that was just slightly warm. That’s not just unappetising, it’s downright unsafe. Heating food properly is the bare minimum, and they couldn’t even get that right.

There are better places in town where you won’t be treated like a nuisance or handed something straight from the fridge. Do yourself a favour and skip Coonabarabran Bakery.

Worst customer service in Coonabarabran. Avoid. Edited down to from 2 to 1 star. Service...

We had potato pie and cheese and bacon pie very yummy. The vanilla slice was delicious crispy pastry. You do need a spoon and bowl to eat it. Apple slices were nice and gluten free tarts were nice too. Lots of locals coming in at lunchtime. Fresh salad rolls made. Nice coffee. Nice park with table and chairs just down the road a bit. Nelson park. With excellent on street parking in a quiet street if you have a caravan. Clean amenities. I also recommend Macintyre Hot bread shop at Inverell and Deep Water bakery on the New England Highway and Mace’s Hot bread shop in Miles on the Warrego highway. And the Ceda Bake House at Taranganba near Emu Park. (Yeppoon). Also Jackson Bakery and Cafe...
