Once again having the same issue with the exact same order as below, same staff member. Only this time they have a new ordering system that also reflects that the $35.50 order applies a $3.55 discount bringing it down to $31.95. Despite this the staff member continued to be rude, as well as attempting once again to overcharge.

Great food, but the customer service simply doesn't seem to be a priority here any more.

On a typical day, Dawat-e-punjab produces excellent food and shows great customer service.

Today however when attempting to participate on their 10% off on takeaway orders over $35, they were downright deceptive and rude.

They attempted to round down our $35.50 order to $35 to avoid giving us the 10% discount. When we questioned it, saying the order should add up to $35.50 not $35, they told us we were wrong. We once again explained that the total amount was wrong, and they told us they had rounded it down for us, and then proceeded to ring up the card machine.

We stated that the order was $35.50 and therefore the 10% discount should apply, and they said that the discount only applied when the order after discount is also over $35, which doesn't not reflect their advertising.

Eventually they charged up correctly ($31.95), with a very snide 'have a good night's at the end.

Not a great...

The first few times we went we were totally impressed with the food and the service. Last night we went and was very disappointed. The waitress told us we had to sit at a small table right next to the only other guests who were talking very loud. We asked to sit at our 'usual' table but was told it was booked. About 20 min later more people came without booking and was offered the table we asked for. When I complained our usual waitress was very apologetic. As we left to pay we also told the waitress who initially served us. She lied to our face saying there was bookings. I told her we were very disappointed and it appeared as if she was almost laughing at us (smirking). I then told her that we probably won't come back. This restaurant does big trade with take away but for us we like to go out for dinner once a week. I was so happy to discover a good Indian restarant locally but now we will go back to Florey where the service is...

While the food was good at our dine-in yesterday, the service ruined the experience. One of the waitresses kept coming to our table every 10 min to ask whether we needed anything and swept away plates we barely finished. This might seem being helpful, but it felt like we were being pressured to eat quickly and get out and we felt crowded. The restaurant was empty other than us and another table, so it was not like there were guests waiting for a table. They were pressuring us to finish from 7.30 pm, when the restaurant didn’t close till 9!! There’sva difference in being courteous & being pushy!! Also, request for napkins & water took forever. The toilet was unkept & dirty & no toilet paper. Request for some toilet paper took forever & started a frantic search. Seems like they are not very used to or welcome dine-in guests. Will not be going back!...
