ICHI Cafe — Restaurant in District of Belconnen

Seriously might be the last cafe in Canberra offering great value for money — you can get nice drinks and a decent feed, including some good specials, without remortgaging the house. I also like to the generally chill and unpretentious atmosphere inside, or you can sit in the centre concourse and watch the rest of Kippax go by. MASSIVE bonus: it has a well-stocked take-one-leave-one bookshelf right in the entrance!!

Staff are lovely and have never had an issue with takeaway service, though it can sometimes be a bit disorganised if you eat in. But if you have time to sit down, who really cares if meals arrive a few minutes apart when you're probably paying half as much as you would at the Coffee Club next door, and getting something that wasn't cooked entirely in a microwave for your money? Cannot fathom why anyone would go there over this little beaut of a spot, but if you do then I can definitely recommend you give Ichi a try next...

I often come here to get takeaway coffee, sandwiches and have had delivery sometimes. My partner and I have dined in for breakfast several times. This humble cafe has such a warm atmosphere and friendly, welcoming staff. You can tell the food is made with love and the prices are so affordable. I don’t understand 1 star reviews for issues they could have raised with the staff, they are so nice and helpful, I am sure it would be no problem for them to resolve. They are a small cafe charging competitive prices and unfair reviews could hurt their business. We are moving back to Perth soon and will be sorry to leave because we don’t have this kind of cafe back home....

Best matcha latte Ive ever had! Wow! I also highly recommend the matcha frappes. 10 stars! Super healthy too. The gracious owner of this fantastic cafe Jo knows his locals by name and their drink orders. Jo and his team serve high quality food and drinks at very afforable prices. The cafe is inviting and has a homely feel to it. Whether you are after the best coffee/lattes in town or food this is the place to be. I highly recommend this cafe for a great experience. It is situated in kippax fair with many shops/retailers inside to enjoy after you have visited Ichi cafe....
