The WORST KFC ever!! We waited in line at the drive through for the 2 cars in front to be served, however they were not moving so we decided to go inside & order. As we left our car in the carpark , i could see 2 staff members leave the restaurant seating area & quickly rush around the counter. On approaching the counter we saw a sign that advised that the store was currently out of "our favourites ". The server was unengaging & did not have a name tag. He was on shift at approximately 7.45pm. . He didn't ask if he could take our order. With the server just looking at me i ordered 3 meals that had chicken tenders & when I asked for an original chicken box, he pointed to the sign on the counter saying, we are out of chicken as the sign says. I said "no, the sign does not specify what you are out of & you should have told us before we started ordering" I then enquired if this was the reason the drive through was not moving & he advised that the speaker was not working & there was a sign advising this. At no time did these lazy staff members go out to fix the lengthy line at the drive through. The attitude of all the staff was surly & rude. If the owner of this particular store is wondering why they are loosing money, consider the staff & management they have working there. As far as the food, the chips were cold (no light over the chip hob) tenders were cold & chewy. Don't eat here or management should boot the staff on shift on 5th Jan 2023 at...
Read moreVisiting the KFC in Hawker was an unexpectedly refined experience, elevated well beyond the usual expectations of a quick-service restaurant. The team displayed a standard of customer service that was both warm and impressively efficient, ensuring that the flow of orders moved seamlessly even during busier periods.
One employee in particular, Thiago, stood out as the embodiment of professional excellence. His manner was courteous without being rehearsed, attentive without being intrusive, and he handled each interaction with a balance of charm and competence. Efficiency seemed second nature to him, with orders arriving promptly yet never feeling rushed. Beyond his evident skill, there was an undeniable presence about Thiago—his natural confidence and striking appearance lent a touch of sophistication to the service counter, a quality rarely associated with fast-food dining but deeply appreciated in this setting.
Altogether, the Hawker KFC delivered not just on the expected staples of quality food and quick service, but on the rarer dimension of memorable hospitality. With employees like Thiago setting the tone, the restaurant feels less like a stop along the way and more like a destination worth...
Read moreToday my visit to the KFC outlet in Hawker ACT left much to be desired. Despite attempting to avoid drive-in mishaps, I encountered a new set of challenges when ordering at the counter. The sales assistant seemed unfamiliar with the process, repeatedly asking for clarification and appearing lost. Regrettably, the lack of support from other staff members compounded the issue. Even with a simple order for a 6-piece chicken and mashed potatoes, the ordeal became unnecessarily prolonged.
Despite the efforts of a supervisor to assist, it seemed like a struggle to fulfill the request for specific chicken cuts. This resulted in a less-than-satisfactory selection. The overall experience was frustrating and disappointing. The lack of efficient service and the disarray left a lasting impression. I left feeling disheartened and with no intention to revisit.
Improvements in training and teamwork could significantly enhance the service quality of this outlet. As it stands, my experience was far from satisfactory, and unfortunately, I won’t...
