The below picture is the garlic prawn pasta. On the right, is the image they have posted online, which convinced me to get it on UBEREATS. On the Uber eats platform, the price was $28 without the delivery fee.
On the left, is what was served to me in a takeaway. It was a plain spaghetti without any sauce or flavor with only 3 prawns thrown into it and some raw veggies.
When I asked the staff if it was spicy, they said no. I requested for salt and pepper, they did not have it. But she just said we can add chili flakes, to which I agreed. So they just threw a bit of chili flakes on top in the kitchen.
Their pastas are misleading and deceitful. With a $30 I could have had a very classic pasta in a decent size full of flavor from any other place in Canberra.
Sorry but VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, OVERPRIZED FOOD AND DECEITFUL IMAGES.
I would like a refund please.
P.S. This person in the previous reply refused they sold any garlic prawn pasta on that day. But when I said I have my receipt, they edited their reply as well. And now they are trying to justify what happened on that day. Looking at other google reviews, I can say this is very shameful. Mistakes like these are common and happen in every restaurant. What is shameful is the fact that the staff is proudly justifying their mistakes in all reviews instead of acknowledging the mistakes and working on them. I think it is high time for Canberra Centre and for Cafe cherry beans...
Read moreThe food was delicious and was brought out super quickly. The atmosphere was amazing, however, the customer service was completely lacking. When I went to order a girl with pink/purple glasses was at the till and said “what?” In a bit of a clueless manner which I responded with “Hi there, would I be able to grab the halloumi bruschetta to start with?” She then said oh and walked off. the male worker came up to the till and was a lot more helpful. One of our drinks came first then the same girl in the glasses walked over and attempted to give us that same drink we had just received in a takeaway cup (we were dining in) and when I said “that’s ok we’ve already received it” she stood there for a second with a surprised look on her face said nothing and walked off again. When my drink came a different waitress brought it over, however, nearly walked past our table when she realised she stopped slammed my drink on the table and walked off without saying anything. A different waitress then came over to deliver our food and was a lot nicer than the others. All in all the food was amazing and definitely recommend it, however, the customer service was...
Read moreVery disappointing. Today was my 4th visit to Caffe Cherry Beans in the Canberra Centre. Based on my first 3 visits, I would have said lovely staff, lovely coffee, lovely place to relax. However, today, the 2 cappuccinos that I had were so bad that they were on the verge of being undrinkable and left an awful aftertaste that lasted for at least 2 hours after I left, the barista today (who was different to the barista on my previous 3 visits) was completely devoid of any friendliness toward customers, and the place was filthy with food scraps and spilled drinks on many of the tables (and it was mid-afternoon with the cafe almost empty so it wasn't a case of the staff being too busy - they simply didn't care to clean the tables). Given how bad today's experience was, I can't possibly recommend to anyone that they take a chance on going there. I certainly won't ever go back - there are plenty of other coffee spots in the...
