Civic Square — Attraction in District of Canberra Central

Civic Square is interesting. Big open space yes, but with museum, library, theatre and govt offices surrounding it and short walk to shopping centre. Some seating, and becomes a great venue for open air events, eg markets, multicultural food fair, etc. But I'd like more natural canopy from trees. It is a very nice place, the food trucks open at 2:00 p.m. very late, since our tour left us at 1:00 p.m. to have lunch and pick us up at 2:00 p.m., so I could only eat an empanada from a local it was open. Yes I visited the multicultural festival that is held in Canberra city each year. The food stalls were really great with delicious food. The only down side was the lack of free parking within the city area. Such a shame very disappointed. Not everyone can catch buses. Something needs to be done about the lack of free parking then more...
