Zambrero has ruined my life. Imagine eating the world's most delicious burrito - tender rice; meat that is slow cooked to perfection, seasoned perfectly, and melts in your mouth; salsas made of only the freshest vegetables; sauces that complement the flavours of the other ingredients perfectly and blend everything together; wrapped in a tortilla that is softer than an angel's whisper... Now, imagine that after eating that show-stopping burrito, you move to the other side of the world, where the closest you can get to this burrito perfection is a poor, dry imitation that leaves the bitter taste of disappointment behind. Life. Ruined. Okay, that's probably the slightest bit dramatic, and I guess it isn't technically Zambrero's fault they aren't worldwide (yet? I'm hopeful...). Anyways, coming to this particular Zambrero location after a solid 4 years of CRAVING mightily, I had very high expectations. I've also spent 4 years whining about this craving to my family, so as first time Zambrerans they had very high expectations as well. All expectations were met, if not exceeded. Delicious food, lovely and helpful service, fast, and a nice sheltered area to sit outside and enjoy the sound of the rain falling. (Would be nice to have more indoor seating if it were a cold day though.) Also love the food donations that Zambrero does. All in all, I'll be a lifelong fan, even when I can only eat these heavenly burritos in my dreams. Thank...
Read moreTwo friends & I went to get dinner around 8:30pm on friday 20/1. a young man named Matthew was serving the couple in front of us and seemed relatively new, his supervisor however, a larger dark haired guy maybe around 18 was absolutely awful to him. My friends and I and the couple were the only ones in the store but the supervisor was acting as if there was a major rush, yelling and putting Matthew down, pushing him out of the way and just genuinely awful. The way he spoke was appalling and not how a team member or leader should speak. The customers all exchanged looks as we were so blown away how rude he was treating him in front of us. Really poor behaviour from a more senior staff member, we felt so sorry for Matthew. Even if he is not new he was making the new summer burritos and regardless did not warrant that kind of treatment. We were not in a rush at all, we didn't mind being patient, meanwhile supervisor was shoving past him and saying snide remarks as if he was stupid. Matthew, however was impressively calm and patient and took it on the chin and still asked for help when needed. i never write reviews like this but that was workplace bullying, even if there was a line out the door no one deserves to be spoken to like that. I would seriously reconsider the senior members position in a team environment. Maybe he would be better as a drill...

The staff are pleasant, as is there slogan, Especially a fine young worker, A lad named Logan, He served me with pride, kindnes and gusto granting me a sublime classic burrito, A fine tasting mixture With similar flavour to the God's elixir
As I indulged in delectable Mexican chow, I watched as Logan cleaned with prow
Scrubbing and shinning every surface of the place, With lightning speed, no denying he's an ace striving for every surface to reflect with a mirror's gleen, The floor was made to sparkle and sheen
He served each customer with an excellence unseen, Each of them treated with likeness to kings and queens,
The ingredients were his tools, He knew each by heart No other worker could make such a fine art,
Be it a bowl, tortilla, burrito or drink, Each order was made like a canvas coated in the finest of ink,
With out this lad the place would be grim Zambrero's Manuka, you are lucky,...
