Since it has been taken over and the decorations removed, it's rather bland in there. Wait, there's more!..

The staff really didn't speak great English, there was definitely a language barrier on several occasions. One occation required them to send over a different staff member. There's still more..

The food 😬 .. when ordering a halloumi and mushroom burger, you'd expect a decent sized mushrooms right? I lifted the top bun (which was leaning to stale) to find a single, tiny, button mushroom sized mushroom on top of the halloumi. It looked rather pathetic to be honest!

When I asked about it, I was told they were already aware the mushrooms were small and had planned to order bigger ones. I suggested that if they didn't have bigger ones, they could have at least used several small ones for the dish 🤨 Should have just called it a halloumi burger and I wouldn't have minded 🤣

I also couldn't eat the side salad as it was drowning in salad dressing.

My friend had a caesar salad with a boiled egg that was so overcooked it was inedible.

Even after expressing dissatisfaction with both meals, all we received was an apology and a cold shoulder from then on.

I also couldn't help but notice the table behind us had sent back almost an entire plate of pasta after having a chat with the server.

Such a shame to share a negative review.. and two stars is being generous...

Idk what the chef is smoking but I ordered their club sandwich with chips for delivery. The prices are insanely high and I only ordered because they had a $30 off $40 deal (lol yikes) My sandwich came with all the toast burnt, it’s all I could smell when the driver handed it to me. I pulled it out and saw THE SANDWICH WASN’T EVEN CUT. like they want me to pick up this monstrous sandwich and go at it. After dirtying a knife and chopping board the sandwich wasn’t even that great sadly, just a massive hunk of chicken in the middle of it and stuff dripping out everywhere.

I also got the brownie with ice cream and upon arrival the brownie looked like something you’d see sitting for 6 weeks in an episode of kitchen nightmares, it was SWEATING and tasted like a fridge.

The chips are the only thing they’re getting right and I liked that they give you two tomato sauces with it. The rest was bumboclaat and I’m glad I got a good discount or...

Had dinner and a couple of drinks here last night. Porterhouse steak was fantastic. Staffed by a friendly and very competent team who really do appear to want to do well, and they've put in the hard work to get it running. If the food standard and staff attitude are able to be maintained, at the same time increasing customer numbers are allowed, then this will be a very good place for a top pub feed. We will definitely be back.

Update: We went back about a week later for a 3:30 in the afternoon late lunch. Had the Steak Burger, it was very good. The steak was just like from the dinner a week earlier and the other infredients were just right so nothing was a dominant flavour. Always good when a random walk-in late adternoon lunch is just as good as a dinner with a reservation. So happy this...
