I normally don't leave reviews or give places 1 star but I went here a few hours ago and I don't recommend it, service and food was horrible.
I had been here with my parents and ordered the John Dory dish which had been decent last year so was happy to wait 45 minutes for them to prepare it again. However it was approaching almost an hour and we ended up with a fish that didn't look grilled, with canned tomatoes over the skin which made it rubber. The potatoes tasted off as well. Everything but the bok choy was fresh on this plate from what I could see. The fish I ate because I was starving and it was edible. This was definitely far from the same dish I had last year. Very disappointing. The garlic bread took in between 20-30 minutes to arrive.
Now for the service, I had asked 3 different people to bring a fork and they had promised to bring from order and they couldn't even manage to bring one out. I didn't get one until I went up to the counter to see why the fish was taking so long to prepare that I noticed whole box full of cutlery. If they made it accessible like at other clubs, I could have just got it myself. Then when I did go up to ask about the fish, the lady asked for the receipt to see if I was lying about waiting over over an hour for the fish. I acknowledge I should have brought the receipt with me and was going to get it. I didn't appreciate she was treating me like I was stupid and didn't get the memo about the 45 minute wait and that actually it had only just hit an hour. Yes she succeeded in proving me incorrect that it wasn't over an hour but that was still over 45 minutes for what ended up being an expensive frozen meal. We will not come back here for the food and I recommend for people to go elsewhere in the area after their pokies fix and save their credit/money on a drink at the...

Couldn’t find any menus at around 5.20pm do I chose to borrow one of the table markers that had the QR code on it
We were sitting in the sports bar, and I had planned on returning the marker after scanning it.
But before I could do so a grumpy waitress (maître D maybe) came and took it back.
I tried to explain myself but she didn’t want to listen, and even tried to give me a wooden table number (instead)
I had to again explain I only wanted a menu.
When I did order I told the very young lass that we were #24, out the back in the bar.
Over half an hour goes by, everyone else had got their meals but not us. Had to go to enquire and they had tried to give the meals to table 24 in the restaurant
Then to top it all off after being there for over an hour and my son-in-law coming in contact with numerous staff members a bespectacled young man asked him to take off his hat.
This was despite not one of the other team mentioning it along the way, plus other people around in hats and beanies.
Felt like we were being targeted
May well go back, but not on a Sunday night...
Read moreWe thought the bistro would be a decent choice, but service can get slow and difficult when they've got a raffle or event on. When we went for the second time ever on a Sunday evening, it took 90 minutes to get our dinner.
During our wait we saw three seperate orders of garlic bread come out that all went to wrong tables and went back to the kitchen (these were just the ones we saw). Meanwhile, we had to ask a waitress where ours was after about an hour waiting, and recieved a half portion about five minutes later.
The table next to us, when they saw our entree arrive, asked a waitress where theirs was as they had ordered at about the same time as us. The waitress went to kitchen and returned with their mains - she had to refund that table their bread.
When our food arrived only two of the dishes came out - my husband's pasta had to be chased up with the waiter - and I was missing one of my sides. As we weren't even there for the raffle we shall definitely be avoiding those nights in the future, or go elsewhere. The food itself was tasty enough, but not really worth the...
