The W.T.F burger I ordered was delicious, worth coming in to try. If you’re really hungry I suggest ordering this one as the other burgers are smaller. Yaki Boi have a different twist/flavours that’s different to other places which is good to see as they have their unique style.
Managers service was 10/10. She asked who’s birthday it was and she brang over 2 complimentary alcohol drinks & also a free apple juice drink for my son which kept him happy. (Without us asking for it). When we came in staff went out of their way to ask if we wanted the cake that we brang to be put in the fridge which i thought was great as I don’t usually have anyone go out of their way.
For my burger (W.T.F burger) which my partner also ordered the same; - we asked for the meat Pattie’s to be well done which they weren’t. I still ate mine as I didn’t mind, but my partner took his back and got the meal refunded which was really great of them to do.
Overall, everyone at the table that didn’t order the W.T.F burgers weren’t really satisfied with their food portion wise but the burgers were delicious. All staff were really friendly and made sure we had everything.
Staff also brang out the birthday cake with candles (didn’t ask them to and didn’t have any candles) which was super lovely.
Seating booths are a nice vibe with the light, great section when you’re with a group and if you like to...
Read moreMy gym partner and I decided to try Yaki Boi for a post-workout meal, and while the experience was mostly decent, it did fall short of the hype surrounding the place. We kicked off our meal with the Carpaccio Kingfish and Wagyu Cheeseburger Spring Rolls. The kingfish was well-executed, with the pickled beetroot and crispy capers adding a nice contrast, but the Wagyu spring rolls, although interesting, were just okay, especially with the kimchi aioli.
Moving on to mains, I had the Smokey Salmon Udon while my partner went for the Meatball Udon. Both dishes were acceptable, but not particularly memorable. The salmon was smoky as advertised, but the overall dish could have used a bit more zest, and the meatball udon was alright but not groundbreaking.
The ambiance during the early afternoon was rather lackluster. The place didn't quite buzz with the energy one would expect, making the vibe feel a bit flat. However, the decor and styling of the restaurant do deserve a mention; the aesthetic was indeed cool and modern.
In summary, Yaki Boi serves up decent food in a stylish setting, but it doesn't quite live up to its hype. If you're in the area and curious, it might be worth a visit, but keep your expectations in check. Overall, I'd give it a...
Read moreI visited Yakiboi Woden with my family and child recently, and I was very disappointed with the service. When we arrived, there was no one at the entrance to greet or guide us. The restaurant had many empty tables and no signs or reservation boards displayed, so we assumed it was okay to enter and take a seat, as we’ve done in other Yakiboi branches.
However, shortly after entering, a lady in a green shirt (not even wearing a uniform) and glasses approached us in a very rude and aggressive manner. She questioned us harshly, asking how we could enter without waiting in front. Her tone was unwelcoming and made us feel insulted and embarrassed in front of other guests.
Due to her behavior, we left without eating. This was the first time we experienced such poor treatment at Yakiboi, despite being regular visitors at other branches. Very disappointing. NB: I find that the lady is the manager that store. Feeling pity . Humble request to the owner please give a Traning to your manager how too behave to customers.she don’t have any single quality to sit...
