We arrived here on Saturday with a group of friends and kids, 4 adults and 9 kids in total. We all ordered lunch and drinks for everyone, spending close to a couple hundred dollars between us. We have one Gluten free person in our group and after questioning the flavouring on the chips (which was not stated as being on the chips on the menu) was given an eye roll from staff behind the counter. They made a big unnecessary fuss over the request and having to cook another batch of chips and then asked us to pay for another bowl of chips because they had already cooked the chips ($5). We were made to feel like it was a major inconvenience to have a gluten free option cooked. In today's world of so many allergies and intolerance's it should be accepted and certainly not treat your customers so rudely. I suggest you train all your staff (including management) on celiac disease, gluten free, allergies and the dangers of being so blase over these before something serious happens to a customer. Staff could also do with some customer service training; being polite, smiling and dealing with simple requests...
Read moreMy mother who is coeliac asked for gluten free toasted sandwich and was given a normal toasted sandwich. After she had taken a bite the waitress returned with other sandwiches which were the correct order. The waitress was very apologetic but my mother spent the next few hours throwing up and will now be feeling very ill for the next few days. Please make sure your staff understand how serious coeliac disease can be. There is a big diffrence between being coeliac and gluten intolerance. Very disapointed as my sister was visiting from NSW and was a beautiful day out until this happened. Please educate staff as now the next few...
Read moreBeautiful setting & staff superb - but the prices!!! When reading the menu I saw mushroom gnocchi, but at $32 I thought it exorbitant. Nothing else really grabbed me, so I ordered it & expected far more than what was served. It was smaller than the average entree. Taste was nice once I put salt on, but no where near worth the price. Grabbed an ice coffee as well at $8.50, so all up $40.50 for a small lunch. It was nice sitting outside, but next time I'll go back to the other cafe & pay half as much for double the amount. Plus: small slice of cake for dessert was $10/$11. My friend & I went to bakery & got something...
