New review, new owners. The place still looks similar. Maybe some pictures were removed from the walls. I ordered the smashed avo, egg, and bacon šŸ„“, I asked for bacon to be crispy. Breakfast has improved even more since I was here over a year ago. Service was good, and I can highly re-recomend this place as the best in dubbo for breakfast. Over 1 year ago, i posted this: What a great place to eat. So I went there due to the current google reviews saying it was a good place to go. I had breakfast there and was served by Tim (such a nice person to have a chat with). The breakfast was wow, such nice food, and the coffee was great as well. Will definitely go back when in the area. Update returned back today, 12 September 2023, and what I can say is that the service has somehow improved to be even better than previous experience. I didn't think that would be possible. Breakfast was fantastic . I had breakfast smash and wow, just perfect. Will be back.

What a beautiful place The Grapevine Cafe is, not only was the service, breakfast and coffee great but the courtyard setting is amazing, so that’s where we decided to sit. We had a chat to the new owners Kristy & Steven Canham and there got big plans for this place so keep an eye out on their Facebook page for further updates and give them a like šŸ‘ & follow so you won’t miss a thing. We will definitely be back again and thank you for you warm hospitality, service and a great meal. They also are the proud owners of the Ploughmans rest tavern in Wongarbon and The mitchell inn at Geurie which are both great pubs in the local area. It is fancy with nice garden outside. Food was good, but for staff would mark 2. When a waiter spills some coffee on the floor, she cleaned the floor with a floor cloth, and without washing her hands brought to another customer new coffee. And after she brought to new customer in one hand his coffee, while keeping in another hand that dirty cloth that she was cleaning the floor. Also when asked about room temperature water, was brought very late.

Gosh I genuinely feel bad giving this review as a gal that has worked hospo and understands what a bad review can do.

In saying that, we booked a table for 9 for Father’s Day for 10 am. Turned up on time and was taken to our table. Table didn’t have anything on it.. waited 10 minutes and searched for menus, then ordered our food and drinks… to be told they are out of pancakes and waffles?!? At 10 am. . Anyways that was fine, So 40 minutes later we got our drinks ( coffees ) NO table water in this duration. My sister in law asked politely after waiting 40 minutes for her coffee to be heated up (you would think they would just make a new one) they put in in the micro wave.. 15 minutes later she went up to the coffee station and asked for it, it was still in the microwave, in stead of making a new one they re heated it for a 2nd time 🫣🫣🫣🫣. In front of her and gave it to her, eventually the food came out and it was all cold, we have no cutlery .. had to get it ourselves… this was 75 minutes. The food was shocking and missing key ingredients. I understand some days are super busy and cafes can’t keep up. Communication is key. We had a booking so they knew we were coming.. it would have gone a long way to tell us that there was a hour wait for food and we would have elsewhere. . Service. Food/ everything was terrible, worst breakfast we have ever had. I’m so sorry to make this review but it wasn’t a good...

Great introduction to start. Mainly friendly staff. Lovely outdoor area. However, I chose this cafe for its advertised gluten free options as I am Coeliac. When we told the friendly chap that I needed a totally gluten free option for medical reasons he seemed a bit annoyed. I asked what would be my safest option on their menu. He replied definitely not the pasta, then recommended perhaps the mango salad with the proviso that he couldn't guarantee anything was gluten free, which was odd seeing the menu advertised so many GF options. I ordered the salad without the chicken or prawns as I was not convinced he believed the seriousness of cross contamination with Coeliac. The salad was okay and I did not get sick which was a relief. I have read other reviews to the contrary since dining there. Shockingly I have just looked at our receipt and we were charged $1 extra to have the salad Gluten Free!! When it was listed on the menu as GF. It is a shame all food service providers don't educate themselves about Coeliac and food allergies. We are customers too. It is not that difficult to serve a GF meal option if you understand what needs to happen. Particularly with a salad. Definitely don't recommend...

Well, we go to this cafe whenever we are in Dubbo because my mum is coeliac and their menu has a lot of Gluten free options. Well mum being excited to have a decent breakfast ordered the eggs, bacon and mushrooms. Mum pointed out she was coeliac, and enjoyed her meal thoroughly. Upon asking where they got their gluten free bread from we were informed nothing in the meal was Gluten free. Needless to say inside of travelling home (3hrs away) we’ve had to book into a hotel again tonight and my Mum is currently violently ill. I’ve had to reschedule my dialysis to do it in Dubbo tomorrow as I can’t do it at home and who knows if we have to book a hotel room again tomorrow night as Mum hasn’t eaten that much gluten in years. The ā€˜new chef’ was blamed, but I think that’s a cop out. They offered my mum a free meal next time she returns. Needless to say she won’t be returning. So disappointing as it’s already hard enough to find places that have gluten free options. Mums now convinced she doesn’t ever want to try anywhere again. I’m beyond angry my poor...
