Blew my mind. If you are Into architecture or Australian history this is a must visit.

Created with a friendly smile and great customer service interaction from Jordan? (well, the cash register said it was Jordan serving us).

Children are given a workbook and must think of clues and information within the kail and fill it out as they go. It's got some easy questions and some you need to think about. All the clues are within the facility tho.

Having served as a real Goal in its life it's rather moving and haunting to step into some of the cells. Be warned tho, though you don't know who you might run into.

Just when you are on your self-guided journey something interesting happens. I don't want to give away all the details but make sure you participate and watch what occurs. You might be lucky enough to be picked on by the Goal's very own prison officer, enough about that tho.

The Goal also has a very small gift shop filled with some great gifts so you can take home a memory from this amazing visit you will have.

Prices are affordable and reasonable. I would recommend you make this an attraction you don't miss out on. It's a true part of Australian history and the workers do take pride and this facility...

I went on the gaol night tour a few weeks ago on a bit of a whim, not really knowing what to expect — and I’m so glad I did. I honestly couldn’t recommend this tour highly enough. Whether or not you’re particularly interested in Australia’s dark prison history, you’ll be absolutely captivated.

Our tour guide, Chris, was fantastic - knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about the gaol’s history. He had a great sense of humour and a knack for reading the crowd, which made the 90 minutes fly by.

It’s hard to pick a highlight, but I have to admit I was really looking forward to seeing the gallows - and they didn’t disappoint. The whole experience was fascinating from start to finish.

It’s adults only (which was another bonus for me), and definitely worth making time for if you’re in Dubbo. Whether you’re a full-blown history buff or just a little curious, this tour is well worth it. I left wanting to learn even more. Extra special thanks to Chris. They're lucky...

I have some really great memories of this place my grandmother took me here when i was 7yo and im 30yo now u go into that creepy dark room and hear that noise of the prisoner throwings somthing against the wall or walkjng around lising to the tales of why thay got locked up there in the first place its prob one of the best memories i have and have often thought of going back to show my nephew so he can enjoy this memory too as well as the fun and excitement too whe. I visited this place the staff where friendly and the place was very neat and tidy what it is missing is a place to buy food and drinks ie a sasuge roll and a can of soft drink im hoping to god this place is still open so i can let my nephew enjoy this place of fun too and i admit i cant wait to go back and see all the stuff too hahaha

A very educational yet fun to visit for the entire family. Our little kids enjoyed it as much we did. It is also very convenient destination to visit as it is in the heart of Dubbo. The staff were very inviting and friendly, the performances were fun, interactive and great for the kids. We, including our kids, learnt a lot about prison life in the past and learnt Dubbo as a growing city. The gaol is small however it took us just over 2 hours to complete a self-guided tour in a leisurely pace; which also included watching a performance (10AM at the day of visit). The displays are informative and interactive, and the gaol looks very well maintained. We had a memorable and fun experience at Old Dubbo Gaol. For a small gaol, there was a lot to see and learn, even for young kids. It is a highly recommended visit whilst at Dubbo.
