I recently visited the Western Star Hotel in Dubbo for a work lunch. Unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. While the food was typical pub fareānothing extraordinary but perfectly adequateāthe atmosphere and service were disappointing.
Upon entering, the front bar had a noticeable and unpleasant smell of urine, which was quite off-putting. Additionally, the lady working the bar seemed disinterested and unfriendly, making the overall experience feel unwelcoming.
In summary, the Western Star Hotel offers standard pub food but needs significant improvement in terms of cleanliness and customer service. I hope they address these issues soon to enhance the...

Ā Ā Ā Read moregreat find !!! a friend and i were passing through town very late and it was the first pub we found . so went in for a feed . the staff greeted us nicely letting us know the kitchen would close soon . there menu has great choices but there specials are very hard to go past ! i went the cheesy garlic bread and the t-bone special . (only $20 for the steak ) food arrived before i could finish our first drinks and the meals were excellent. steak was cooked as ordered and the Diane sauce was beautiful . the chips would have to be the best ive had in years . top pub that i will be eating at again...
