Who knew? Elle and I wandered into Dungog for a Sunday retreat and found a great cafe. Steve is a great friendly bloke who goes about his food and beverage preparation with ease. Flitting about chatting with customers and friends and making great coffee, food and treats. Poached eggs just simple with salt and pepper on a lovely looking sourdough bread. Lilly the border collie keeps busy out front just loving the clientele while the staff chip away. Awesome cafe, great decor and I love the couches. Great work Steve.

Without much signage indicting this cafe is vegetarian/vegan friendly cafe in the middle of town. Offered an array of choices. For me personally, just a little bland but texture wise and price is quite good! Dog friendly despite the name lol Personally recommend the schnitzel burger!

Yum! I love coming in for a coffee and pastry or cake. My daughter is completely obsessed with the fresh buttery croissants and no other will ever compare now. Coffee is always good. Love that there’s a space for kids to play while eating or sitting for a minute.

Nestled in the heart of Dungog, The Barn is a charming pastry house that offers a delightful mix of freshly baked treats and a cozy, rustic atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, the enticing aroma of pastries fills the air, setting the stage for what is sure to be a memorable experience.

The selection of pastries is impressive, featuring everything from buttery croissants to rich, decadent cakes. The attention to detail in each creation is evident—flaky, perfectly golden crusts and fillings that are both fresh and flavourful.

The coffee served here is a great complement to the pastries, with a smooth, well-balanced flavour that pairs nicely with the sweeter offerings. The staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to provide recommendations or simply chat about the day's selection. The Barn’s atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it an ideal spot to sit, sip, and savour your treats.

If you’re in the area, The Barn is a must-visit. Whether you're stopping by for a quick bite or lingering over a coffee, it’s the kind of place that feels like a local gem, one you’ll return to again and again. Highly recommended for pastry lovers and anyone looking for a taste of...

A cosy Cafe in the middle of Dungog. We have been here twice now with 2 polarising experiences. First was a 5 star experience, friendly staff and great food, service and coffee. The 2nd was a 3 star experience, Coffee was good but the food consistency lacked. The male who tended to us was slow, confused and made mistakes - put our food on another table with children, the father took it back to the counter and the server put the same food on our table. It should have been discarded and replaced with a fresh item. A 3.5 star...
