Lovely hidden courtyard by the river creates a wonderful ambience Got the ploughman's platter to share which was definitely enough for 2, it included smoked salmon, ham, rocket/red onion in vinaigrette and the usual antipasto and cheese varieties. Ample bread both fresh and toasted to suit everyone's taste buds. The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. Also grabbed a large coffee priced at $5.5 and it certainly was a big one! the lactose free milk was $1 extra, which is a bit much i think. This is by far the best cafe in Echuca for coffee, cake and their breakfast menu is delicious. I have had take away coffee many times but took the time to enjoy a sit down breakfast today and it was exceptional. Perfectly poached eggs with crusty sour dough toast. The new owners have loads of experience and it shows. Prices are also very reasonable for the quality produce you are served. There is also a courtyard area out the back with loads of front seating. Brilliant for breakfast. Had the eggs benedict with bacon, and a side of black pudding. A perfect balance of all, two yolky eggs atop two immaculate pieces of bacon adorning a nice thick slice of toast, all covered by the most creamy hollandaise sauce I've ever had. Brilliant! Highly recommend. Edit: came back next morning. Had the Pulled Pork Benedict. Brilliant wake up meal. Probably a tinge heavy on the Chipotle, but I mean, it's Chipotle. What did I expect?
