Went there this evening, I'm a regular, service was appalling and non existent. Asked for a table for 2, was told to sit at a dirty table full of uncleared dirty plates and glasses, no other clean tables available, so I chose to wait outside instead till a table was ready, didn't want to sit at a dirty table full of dirty dishes and glasses . After a while a table was ready, by now the only clean table in the restaurant, was a sorry sight seeing all the tables around me uncleared and dirty, and that's how they stayed. I had to get up and ask for a drink, no service at all, which came, without a glass together with the water bottle for the table - no glass. Could not get anyone's attention. After about 15 min I just walked out after paying for the drink I had with no glass. I don't expect to be treated like a king but I would expect a clean table, some basic service, rather than no service. Also a clean dining room within reason is no special expectation. The food though is always really good here, I would say they had a malfunctioning evening but the cook and his assistant in the open facing kitchen were not interested at all and I could not get anyone's attention including theirs. I hope they lift their game on the service side of things because as mentioned, the...

Really disappointed with our experience here. Tried this restaurant based on the reviews we saw on Google. We were seated and given menus with no hello, how are you, any drinks etc. Took some time for the server to take the order which is fine because they were busy. Ordered starters and main courses. My main course arrived before any starters or drinks were brought and I explained this, so it was taken back. My starter arrived and there was a 5 minute wait between mine arriving and my partners which meant we ate separately. We were asked if ready for the main. My empty plate was taken away, my partners was not. The main arrived which was same one delivered previously, so I imagine it was reheated. I ordered chicken chilli basil with rice. I was told the rice will be right out. I waited 5-10 minutes for the rice to be brought, meanwhile my main went cold. My partner went up to ask twice where it was as it’s a dish meant to be eaten with rice. I understand the restaurant was busy, but this is basic service being asked for. I believe the restaurant focuses way too much on takeaway and delivery service which takes away from the service in the restaurant. Will not be...

Been to Floreat Forum a few times now but did not realise there was this Thai restaurant at the end of the forum, in the outdoor annex.

Decided to pop in to try as they were giving free crackers for every dine-in table. Wasn’t exactly what I wanted to have tonight but I could do Thai anytime.

I ordered a Pad See Ew (PSE) and the Thai Spicy Wing Zaap (chicken wings). The PSE starts from $20.90 (no meat) and the Spicy Wing Zaap is $11.40.

Whilst I would say the PSE was well-fried with the “wok-hei” aroma, the portion was on the measly side, contrary to what I have read in the reviews. The taste was to my liking, but I really felt the portion I had this evening did not do justice to the $20.90.

The Spicy Wing Zaap served with a small side of sweet chilli and salad leaves was acceptable, though I could not tell if the powder topping on it was meant to be sour or spicy or both, as it was not spicy at all.

I do try to support local businesses and I feel that I will return again, but for my first time today, I would save my 2 more stars for the next visit to Thaitation. Still room for...

Quick early Saturday dinner. It was just us and another couple of tables but it was very early. We had a Curry Tray with flat bread, chicken and both green curry sauce and massaman curry sauce to start. The flavours were just amazing. My husband had the bao buns and tasting platter and I had the drunken noodles. The buns were fresh and delicious. The tasting plate had a good variety with fantastic flavours. My drunken noodles were the best I’ve ever had. Pretty spicy but not so much that it spoilt the flavours. Very good serving size. All of that was only $66. Bargain and well worth it. Heaps of parking at the shopping centre. The staff were lovely. Post COVID-19 lockdown visit. 12 June 2020 Happy to say this is still a great restaurant with really good food and fantastic staff. We had a lovely dinner and a great catch up.

Chef Eddie always serves up good stuff here. We've been coming since they first opened and the quality of food and service hasn't dropped at all. It is also very handy that there is a small playground literally in front of the restaurant, which comes in very handy when you have young kids! Definitely order the whole barramundi if you come here, and the duck dishes are pretty solid too. I personally like the Pad See Ew (stir fried noodles) which are definitely worth trying if you want a change from the normal Pad Thai.
