I visited Gustoso yesterday with some friends, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. One of my friends ordered the chicken with spaghetti Bolognese, but as soon as she tasted the Bolognese sauce, she noticed a strong lamb flavor. Since she does not eat lamb, she asked another friend to try it and confirm if she was right. Our friend, who is a chef, noticed the same lamb flavor and mentioned that sometimes restaurants use a mix of beef and lamb. However, if that was the case, it should have been clearly stated on the menu.
As soon as we realized that the dish contained lamb, we immediately asked the manager (or what we assumed to be the manager) for clarification. However, she did not seem very welcoming from the start. Instead of double-checking with the chef, she simply stated that it was beef. My friend then asked, “Are you sure? Because we can taste lamb.” The manager firmly responded, “Yes, I’m sure.” She briefly asked if my friend wanted a new dish, but there was no insistence on resolving the issue. Feeling uncomfortable with the interaction, my friend hesitated and decided to continue with the meal.
As my friend ate more, she became even more certain that the meat was not what was stated on the menu. To make matters worse, we noticed the manager whispering to other staff members while looking in our direction, which felt quite disrespectful.
A more professional approach from the manager—such as properly verifying the ingredients and addressing customer concerns with care—would have made a big difference. We didn’t feel comfortable asking for another meal, which is not how any customer should feel when dining out. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback into consideration, as good customer service is just as important as the quality...

Read moreEven though the waitresses were kind and polite to us, the Manager was extremely rude every time she came to talk to us. She seemed impacient, and sarcastic all the time we needed her assistance. Probably cause we are not Australians, which is just sad, even more so because she is the Manager. I ordered a chicken with bolognese spaghetti. I don't eat lamb, and I'm 100% sure that the minced meat was not only beef, it was mixed with lamb. She came to our table and I asked her. Once again she was clearly impacient and rude and insisted that there was no lamb on there. My friend who's a chef tried it and she also tasted lamb in there. The Manager did offered to change my dish, but I felt bad of wasting the food and also because of the way she was treating me. Didn't make me feel comfortable at all to do so.
After she left our table, the three of us could see her making fun and telling literally all the staff about it.
Totally unprofessional and nothing justifies that.
Clients should feel welcomed and comfortable and be treated with respect, no matter their skin colour,...
