That wasn't Amore! We were enthusiastic to go to That's Amore in Floreat as the friends with whom we went had been several times. The bruschetta had very thin slivers of tomato and the other bruschetta was OK. The pork dish that one had was good but the two Chicken Mattone were just average and my Zucchini Pesto linguini was very poor. It was a creamy sauce with no hint of parmesan and a couple of prawns cut into small pieces with no flavour. It was very bland not like any pesto I have ever had or made (I am Italian) but I was told to taste it again before asking for cheese. This I did and the owner was not forthcoming with it. He was more interested in discussing pasta with the table behind us. I waited and then went and asked the chef for cheese which he gave me in a very small bowl. My friends we very disappointed with being ignored unlike other diners. My friend looked at the bill the following day and rang the owner who could not tell her what the miscellaneous charges $6 were or the surcharges $4.22. It was fully licensed so there should have been none and it was not a long weekend. Most unreasonable was the $6 charged for cheese which should have been on the pesto dish. Charging $31 was not OK! We have other favourite genuine Italian restaurants which we will frequent. A very disappointing experience.

We decided to have Italian for dinner on a Thursday evening. Amore is the local Italian restaurant which is very cosy, and we like the owner of the restaurant. He is always very welcoming. We've been previously but I wasn't hungry, so I only had their Caprese salad. Which was very refreshing and I love it. Tonight, I was hungry and decided to order a feast. We ordered the Barciole, and the highlight of it is the sauce and how soft the meat was. It just melts in my mouth! We also ordered the Raviolacci with mushroom porcini and truffle. The dish is fantastic the porcini mushroom, and the truffle just harmonised the taste. I've never ordered the peppermint ice cream; this is my first time. The mint ice cream is coated in chocolate flakes, drizzle with Bacci sauce, and dried cranberries sprinkled on the plate. It's surprisingly very nice. I will return again

We absolutely ADORE our cute little local Italian, Amore! Michael and his incredible team offers the best European hospitality, delicious cuisine and unique atmosphere. We’ve been going here for almost two years and it just gets better each time! The open kitchen restaurant setting is low key and casual, making it the perfect destination for dinner dates with friends or loved ones - and their cosy PDR hidden away at the back of the venue is brilliant for group bookings and dinner parties. For a signature treat for diners each night, Michael turns up Dean Martin’s ‘That’s Amore’ and swings all the lights in the restaurant with signature Italian flamboyance! My fave dishes? The Bruchettone and Paccheri Prawns… both to die for! Their vino selection is pretty epic too. SALUTI!! 🇮🇹🍝🍷

Simply superb!

I cannot believe, I was at the Italian Restaurant "Amore Floreat" at 444B Cambridge St, for "5 times", and not writing a review!

This place is absolutely my favorite Italian Restaurant in Perth area.

I suggest making a reservation well in advance because the tables fill up very quickly during the weekend.

My favorite dishes are their mushroom gnocchi and gorgonzola (tasty)! But first, I use to order an antipasto with Italian San Daniele raw ham with tomato and mozzarella or a Half meter Bruschettone. Delicious!

I also tasted very much the Raviolacci with porcini mushrooms and truffle in a light sauce, to die for!

Not to mention the linguine alla Tarantina with prawns, Hmmmm!

And again, handmade Orecchiette in a red sauce with meatballs and Braciole (Chops) really amazing! unbeatable.

Even the bread they serve is good. The service is great, with friendly and patient staff.

A digestive Montenegro for the happy ending helps a lot!

What else to say, the owner is a handsome guy! Congratulations on this sublime culinary orchestra Michele, see you next...

We'll never go back. We have been customers of Amore for many years, putting up with indifferent, harried service because the food was tasty and we liked the ambience, but the appalling attitude of the owner at our recent visit left us all speechless. The evening started with an angry tirade about how hard Covid had been for him (just maybe it has also been hard on his paying customers?) and when we asked if he could please tell us about the mains specials which were on a wall-mounted board obscured from all of our view by the meat slicer/coffee machines etc on the counter above us (we knew from experience there are only a couple of mains so it wasn't an unreasonable request), he refused to do so and angrily shouted at us saying he hadn't time to do that and telling us to get up and go and look at the board. These were just two of several incidents during a really unpleasant evening and in hindsight, we should have got up and left early on. Even if the food had been fabulous (which this time it wasn't), there's no need to be rude and we'll be taking our patronage...
