Ben Hall Beau Thai — Restaurant in Forbes

Bought 3 little mains, 1 portion spring rolls & 1 portion roti bread. This cost $108.60. This is so expensive it’s unreal but I was happy to pay it because I thought I’d give them a go. Worst idea ever! The food is so disgusting I wish I never paid for it! Chicken Pad Thai which is completely stuck together/noodle undercooked, not one bit of flavouring what so ever, the chicken was full of gristle and iv taken 3 chicken bones out of my mouth already. Garlic chicken dish the chicken was rock hard, no flavour and also full of gristle & 2 chicken bones. Thai style rice & prawn, this dish had a little tiny bit of flavour but other than that absolute garbage, the only good side of this was the 4 prawns in it. roti bread was stone cold & rock solid.

I ordered this over the phone & was told pick up in 30 mins, I attended to pick up the order 40 minutes after the order was made and they then said another 20 mins even tho they had 2 people sitting in their restaurant, so I tried to do the right thing and was understanding so I offered to pay in full when I was there and then I’ll wait the other 20 mins. Order was ready and I traveled not even 2 minutes down the road and I’m absolutely far from happy!

The restaurant is lacking in terms of decor. Very basic and pedestrian in my opinion. You enter it through a shabby complex of various interiors which I found to be very unappealing. I also thought the prices were too high for what was on offer.

However Ben Hall Beau Thai more than makes up for it in terms of food. The menu is positively riddled with high quality meals. I found the sauce in my stir fry to be particularly excellent. The serves are generous as well.

Overall, I found Ben Hall Beau Thai to be a positive experience and one well worth visiting for any Thai cuisine lover as long as they are willing to put up with bland decor and...

Possibly the worst service I have ever encountered in a restaurant. Food around a table of 6 was hit and miss with 4 of the plates being either tasteless, cold, bland or a combination of the 3. It took 15 minutes after sitting down for the waitress to take our order, leaving before taking our drinks down and we were 1 of 2 groups in the place.
