Food was absolutely beautiful and very well priced only downfall was the table was crammed in a corner and the chairs were super uncomfortable. There was no table service we had to clean the table off ourselves before we could eat our dessert. Only thing that has turned us off from coming back is we had 2 little boys playing on the grass and they did climb on a garden bed which we told them to hop off straight away and then they were running along the hedges with their hands running along the top and the lady yelled from the top floor for the kids to stay out of the garden she wasn't rude but it was the way it was presented was a bit embarrassing if you don't want anyone near your gardens then maybe have a sign saying please stay off the grass or something no need to yell at us so loud that...
Read moreA quaint Queenslander converted cafe. The menu was perfect, food was delectable with great presentation and interesting flavours. The only thing that let the place down was the service at the counter. Service was particularly slow where orders had to be repeated a few times during which people staffed to live up behind us. Could clearly see the frustration on their faces. Not ideal for anyone! Also … Salt & pepper are not made accessible. You’ll be asked if you want it on the table and water is provided via self service bar so you need to help yourself. Had to ask for an extra serviette as the girl on the counter forgot there was 3 people and not 2.
A sides from the lack of customer service. The cooks did an amazing job with the food. Definitely recommend trying this cafe out. Overall the...
Read moreSet in a lovely renovated old Queenslander home. The proprietor has gone to a great deal of trouble and expense to make this venue enjoyable and accessible. The decor is very nice with lots of old items and appliances. Both indoor and outdoor dining saree available. They have a lovely range of home made cakes and biscuits available as well as providing a custom cake making service. The food is delicious my wife has the croissant bene and I had eggs with home made tomato relish-both were excellent. It the front there was a fruit stall with local produce. It's great to see a young person making such a big investment in their local area and backing it with great service. Well be back next time we pass through...
