The best takeaway in the Gloucester region, open from 7am till 3pm Saturday to Wednesday and Thursday and Friday 7am to 8pm for pizza night , real aussie hospitality with a great menu on offer. You have to try the works burger ( made the old fashioned way) just like back in the seventies, well worth the stop when in Gloucester.

Stopped here for a quick brekky on tge road from Newcastle to Tenterfield. The egg and bacon roll was great old school just like they should be. Fluffy white bun, lots of bacon and a slightly runny egg. Actually got me through to dinner (supplemented by a snickers for lunch)

Tasty food, fast and friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Not a huge menu, but some great options for breakfast at standard prices. Limited seating both indoor and outdoors, but it wasn't particularly crowded in the morning.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5) – Decent but Could Improve

I ordered the gozleme and wedges, and while there were some positives, a few letdowns affected the experience.

Pros: ✔ Gozleme filling was generous – well-seasoned and tasty. ✔ Wedges were crispy with a nicely balanced sweet chilli sauce. ✔ Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Cons: ❌ Gozleme dough was thick and tasted store-bought rather than freshly made. ❌ Extremely skimpy sour cream – barely half a teaspoon, and it was disappointingly runny. ❌ Long wait time for the food, which tested our patience.

Final Thoughts: The meal had potential but fell short in key areas. If you’re craving wedges with a proper serving of sour cream, this might not hit the spot. The gozleme was decent but would be much better with homemade dough.

Would I return? Maybe, but only if they improve the sour cream portions and dough quality.

Suggestions for the Cafe: Increase sour cream portions and make it thicker!

Consider making gozleme dough in-house for better texture.

Improve kitchen efficiency to reduce wait times.

Still a decent spot, but needs tweaks to...

Came through Gloucester on a Saturday and stopped for a rest. A beautiful day and the town was busy with markets, tourists and bikers. The local bakery was closed so Thunderbolts was just up the road. I bought a medium sized black coffee. The staff were busy but friendly and were able to joke along with me. The coffee was quite good and the price reasonable. I came back through Gloucester on the Sunday and stopped again. The town generally was not as busy as the day before but Thunderbolts seemed busier. I bought another coffee and was not disappointed. Same friendly staff and the service was prompt. The business is nothing fancy but you don't need fancy when you're just passing through. I can recommend this place. The burgers smelled delicious but I didn't actually eat. But the coffee was very welcome. I'll be returning there on my next trip travelling north or north-west. You should call in as well. There's a lot of competition for your food and coffee dollar but you won't be disappointed stopping at...

Lovely, friendly and patient servers! When my indecisive family comes in and spends 10 minutes working out what they want, the ladies simply go about their business whilst keeping one eye on me and my efforts to ‘herd the cats’ of my family towards some kind of decision.

Once decisions are made, the orders are taken efficiently and food arrives quickly; food that is utterly delicious, crisp, hot, and everything you could which for in a country takeaway.

Burgers good. Chips good. Pizza good. Milkshake good!

This is my new...
