Cherry Red Lounge Cafe — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

I am an eggs Benedict hunter, I eat egg Benedict’s pretty much at every cafe I go to, my breakfast favourite, not so much here. The Turkish bread was extremely soggy from an overload of wilted spinach and with oils from the salmon, I highly recommend a lot LESS spinach and not wilting it or making sure it is drained properly, it will be cost effective, much more flavourful and the bread won’t get so soggy. The poached eggs were over done, unfortunately no yolk was oozing out, both for my Benedict and my wife’s budget breakfast. The hollandaise was DELICIOUS, it’s unfortunate it is drizzled on the eggs and not dolloped, half of the flavours of eggs Benny is the hollandaise. The budget breakfast was average, nothing to brag about, the bacon can use more time on the grill to get a nice crunch from it. Good day, I would like to provide feedback on the coffee I ordered this morning. Was served by a friendly young lady but was disappointed with my coffee. I specifically ordered a small double-shot decaf from my favourite brand, Merlo. It was $6 for the double-shot decaf latte, but first I had to leave it for a while because it was extremely hot and then after I tasted it, it tasted like hot milky water. I noticed that the girl took a container out of the fridge with the decaf coffee, and after tasting it, I knew that the coffee had been there for a long time and therefore it tasted like extremely hot milky water. Very disappointed. Unfortunately, I won’t be getting my coffee there...

Staff seemed friendly enough and pretty good service.

However. Value for money is very questionable. My wife and I ordered 2 large lattes @ $6.20 each , a slice of carrot cake which was very dense and bland @ $6.50 ( which I should mention was completely left off the order due to the staff member not putting it through) and I order a chicken avo and cheese melt which was one slice of very chewy old toast, dry roast chicken which I was convinced came from Coles or Woolworths, two slices of over ripe avocado and a very bland melted cheese ( definitely not worth my $12 ).
