Oporto Burleigh Heads — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Ordered via menulog. Maynhardt was rude to my wife who rang Oporto to advise the tomato in the chicken salad was off(the finely chop tomato seems as though it was left out of the fridge for 2~3 days). The manager jump on the line after Maynhardt told my wife off for calling to advise of the issue. Manager advised the expiration of the tomato container is 23rd June 2020, for reference today is 20th June. The Manager said to work with Menulog to sort out the issue and post photos. Oporto manager said the can't do anything. So here I am posting photos of the off chicken salad which could be food poisoning others. Poor form Oporto.... will post with oporto head office about this franchise in Burleigh Heads. Typing this now, the smell of the salad is like it came from the trash...

Came here on 5/12/21. 1 kid was working the grill and till all by himself. He struggled while an older lady who I assume was the manager was doing 'something'. I waited and waited for a while for my food which was just 1 Burger meal. After 10 minutes I saw my Burger sit under a heat lamp for a further 5 mins as the kid served someone else. I stood up and saw there were plenty of chips available to serve with my Burger. Eventually the kid got some chips to ad it with my Burger. Then he mucked around for another 2 mins as he got some paper bags from out the back. This kid moved so slow it was frustrating. Terrible service and I won't go back. Perhaps the older lady should have stopped to help the young kid....

Umm what happened to Oportos quality. It used to be my favourite chicken burger. I ordered a Bondi burger and for the first time ever, the chicken was cold and dry…. Not freshly cooked at all.

I went back and asked for more spicy sauce. The staff misheard and thought I said the burger was too spicy and told me they only put half the sauce because it’s very spicy and they thought I would not like it.

Isn’t a franchise meant to have standardised recipes? A Bondi burger is supposed to be spicy 🌶️

They took my half eaten burger to the back and added more sauce. 👀
