I originally posted that review 7 years ago. As you will know from my national dominos reviews a dominos can vary alot over even short periods depending on who is on shift and changes in management.

I have to stay the quality here had declined (probably in line with the gentrification of tugun)

Personally I'd avoid this dominoes if possible to go to another.

It's not the worst, though also not the best.

Food is decent enough still enjoyable. I've just had better experiences at many other dominos.

Dough was undercooked and not a deep pan, though that's what we ordered.

A stark contrast was the cheesy Garlic bread served here as opposed to the one I had at Byron Bay Dominos only four days prior.

The one here was barely cooked and barely had any cheese, it was comparable to a $1 garlic bread from aldi.

I don't know how they vary so much, but the one at Byron Bay genuinely felt like it was worth $7, it was crispy, oily, cheesy and overall pungent (just how you would like a Garlic bread) i assumed all would be like that however the one at tugun was a bit like cardboard. Barely any cheese, barely any crisp, barely any Garlic and barely any flavour.

The pizzas were okay. They had an average amount of topping, but undercooked, not enough cheese and incorrect dough.

Also, the wait time was very long, though I put this down to a one off situation with in experienced staff as they waited to cook the pizzas before they put the underwhelming Garlic bread in the oven.

Also, one if the staff mocked my friend and though he can be a lot, he is just trying to be friendly and spread positivity.

Thanks guys, very sorry to see a decline in the tugun dominos, I have been a customer for over a decade and 3 generations (parents and grandparents) we gave even gone to this dominos for catering for our parties.

Please take this as positive feed back so we can constructively work together to make Tugun Dominos great again.

Terrible store. I’ve had two orders in particular that were absolutely appalling. Highly recommend buying any other food from anywhere else, especially if you are getting it delivered.

First poor experience with Tugun Dominos: I ordered the family some pizzas to be delivered. The delivery driver tracking finally showed after the ‘estimated delivery’ time had come and gone. The driver proceeded to drive to a completely different suburb around 10 minutes away and then mark the order as delivered. Waited another 15 minutes giving hoping it was just a mistake and no food arrived. I was on the phone with a nice young lady in the Dominos who said this driver had ‘issues’ on deliveries before. The driver finally showed up while I was on the phone and was clearly (both visually and by smell) as high as a kite, quite literally reeking of weed. Cold pizza because this kid wanted to smoke bongs on his delivery.

Follow up horrible experience with a delivery order: Had delivery from the same driver. This time I could not say whether or not he was high but he was definitely still late to deliver. He handed over the boxes and took off as quick as he could. While I was dishing out pizzas to the family and one of my kids noticed their dessert was missing. The delivery driver was long gone so I called up. Initially, I thought the young lady on the phone was lovely, coming off really nice. She apologised and offered to deliver the dessert or get a refund and said she would put me on hold to see how long to get it delivered. Spent a bit on hold and realised that she had no intention talking to me again, so I redialed. As soon as I started speaking she yelled, “I can’t help you call back later” and hung up on me. I gave up on getting any refund for the dessert if it means dealing with the staff at this...

It looks like that my experience isn’t unique at all from all recent reviews. I’m not sure if the place changed ownership (as I have been ordering from this shop for the past 5 years) or there is a complete lack of customer service along with terrible food. The last experience was the cherry on top. App telling 20 minutes until pizza arrives, called 1 and half hour later to see why the delay to be told they are understaffed. I completely understood and was happy to stay patient and wait. 2 hours later, from order time, had delivery child (please note I called him a child as he couldn’t be more than 15) bring half of the order and the pizza was completely wrong. One would think ,that after speaking to the manager who would be aware that there is an unhappy customer, the manager would make sure the order sent out is the right one and the pizza is made as requested. When I called back after returning the whole order I was told it would take up to 5 days for the payment to show on my account. As it was also a public holiday and getting an almost $10 surcharge the owners should be hiring efficient staff to justify the surcharge. In my opinion it’s absolutely insane to wait for pizza for 2 hours and to top that off only half the order arrives and the pizza isn’t made as requested.
