i ordered through the app, and initially i was in class so i made the pick up for 4:50 but my class finished early so i changed pickup to asap (this is around 4:35) it took me about 6mins to walk across campus to the store. when i got there there was 2 guys waiting for their order, the shift leader had to come out and ask what one of them wanted on he burrito as they were out of something. they got their food and left. at this point i went and asked the shift leader how long on my order and she said it getting made now. about 5mins later the 2 people returned as there was still an issue with the burrito. they then remade his burrito and gave it to him straight away, i went up and asked how much longer and the shift leader said they were making it now, like what? you told me 5mins ago it was getting made now. a quesadilla does not take that long. The entire time the shift leader is walking around pretending to be busy but actually doing nothing. and someone tried to order at 4:52 when they don’t close until 4:55, i get it’s annoying when you are about to shut but if you are going to stop taking orders at 4:50 then put that online. i ordered a quesadilla meal and when i got it, it had a total of 4 small pieces of burnt chicken, the quesadilla was mainly cheese, and the chips were soggy and cold. absolutely not worth $15. if i knew that were out of chicken or it was going to take this long for subpar food i would’ve asked for a refund straight away. i personally will not be wasting my...
Read moreHola Amigos, Guzman y Gomez presents itself with a quality array of fine Mexican cuisine from succulent chicken burritos to fabulous fish tacos. This family restaurant provides impeccable customer service and a healthy environment, in which friends and family may share extraordinary moments immersed in Mexican scenery. I definitely shared a few laughs here ;). GYG really outdoes itself when compared to other venues. This restaurant located within Griffith University, positioned on the Gold Coast, creates numerous flashbacks to my time spent in Mexico. I went to Cancun to be specific (2016). The colourful mosaic tiles, vibrant yellow lighting and the melody of the Spanish music (Guitar) echos through the hearts of those who chose to dine at this establishment, it really draws out the inner fun side of all. Between you and I, it motivates me to bring my maracas next time and join in on the fun lol :’). I really hope that one day I can meet the co-founders Steven Marks and Robert Hasan in person to thank them for all the beautiful moments I have shared due to their business or should I say my second home. Don’t hesitate or think twice when deciding where to dine because Guzman y Gomez is the...
Read moreVery hard to understand the person serving me. He offered zero suggestions for the food. I had to ask if the meal came with sauce he said yes. Offered no suggestion about spiciness. I asked what type of sauce was there. His reply. "Whatever you want." I ended up asking for a medium sauce, but looking at my receipt he didn't mark anything down.
Also no table service. Had to stand and wait for food. Then the next challenge was find a clean table. It appeared that covid cleaning was non existent. No one cleaned a table whilst I was there. One young customer had to wipe her table down with a serviette before sitting and eating. Not really great.
Staff training in how to deal with customers would benefit everyone, also an exercise in COVID19 practises would be a great thing here.
Overall very disappointing from a...
