Coffee Bug Express — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Hope the service has improved. I was. A Cancer patient at the hospital and wished a coffee it was that hot it burned my mouth and throat. I also had a muffin that was hard and from my understanding about a week old. I have found since the owner is impossible to contact untill reviews start popping up in places like TripAdvisor I have been requested to remove the review I posted which I denied as the owner at the time refused to receive calls..emails. and contact in any way shape or form. So my review stands. The shop compared to others even in the same hospital is very sub standard. I just hope this review may help the owner finally improve his service to hospital staff and patients from what I understand an improvment is sadly required. Went to purchase a coffee at the hospital at coffee bug express. Unfortunately had no funds in my account and was waiting for funds to transfer from another account. All I had was cash but got refused as they aren't accepting cash. I get the store has a right to request whatever payment they deem as favoutable., but last I checked cash was legal tender. I am staying in hospital with my sick 10 day old daughter for the lastvwwek. Have bought coffee there before with my card. But unfortunately having no funds in my account on that particular day all I had was cash. All I wanted was a coffee. The young lady that was serving was lovely however the older lady making the coffee and sending out the orders was extremely rude, didn’t know what orders were what. When we asked if something put out was our number we got the reply, “I haven’t called your number” turns out the order in question was in fact ours and was left there for 15 minutes before anything was said. The lady still didn’t know what the number was. We were only met with confrontation and not offered an apology or anything, only a stale face from the older lady.
