King Po Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

I waited to pickup a Doordash order for one hour. I asked 4 times and they said it was 15 minutes every time. There was over 10 people waiting over an hour. Absolutely ridiculous wait times and ridiculous customer service experience. When people asked if it’s ready she would say not ready not say how long the wait would be, and when they asked she simply answered with “a really long time.” They had one young girl at the front on a busy Saturday night. Absolutely not acceptable. They were prioritising dine in orders before takeaways and deliveries. A family sat down thirty minutes after we had been waitin and got there meal way before we did. She was not even Calling the orders out when they were ready just lettin them sit there until someone asked if it was ready. Working in a restaurant myself, this made me very shocked and disappointed with how the whole situation was dealt. After over an hour of waiting the guy ended up canceling there order so it was a waste of us waiting. This wasn’t just me with frustration all the 10 people around us showed their frustration too. Avoid this restaurant at all costs unless you love waiting for all hours of your day...

Worst Chinese food I've ever ordered. We couldn't eat it and had to throw it away, the smell alone was disgusting.The sweet and sour pork came as a container of fried pork and a separate container with the sauce (nothing wrong with this approach but the only vegetables were maybe 2-3 pieces or carrot and onion floating in the sauce, nothing like the photo online). The lemon chicken sauce came separately too and smelled appalling, something wrong with it, not lemony at all. The Mongolian beef was probably acceptable. Special fried rice just okay, but nothing much to it. The seasame prawn toast was a sorry sight, shrivelled, hardened pieces of bread with sesame seeds attached, no prawn in evidence so far as we could tell, fried until completely dry. The friend meat we tried just tasted of oil, which itself didn't taste fresh. Just awful. This was take away so I can't speak to the service...

We have lived in Mudgeeraba for 15 years. We have ordered here numerous times - maybe twice a year - every single time I say never again but for some reason we give them another shot. Not this time. Last straw. Every single time they get the order wrong. It’s super expensive. And you get hardly any food. Tonight we ordered 2 large fried rice, honey chicken and sweet n sour pork. $61. This is what you get for $61. Such a rip off. Questioned the size of the rice - they assured me they were large. Husband got home and they’d only given us 1 fried rice. I rang to advise he was coming back for missing food. She apologised. He got there and she pretended she didn’t know who he was or what the problem was.
