FUNKY MANAGER, BRILLIANT SERVICE AND FRENCH CHEF! We loved our time here.
SERVICE: Exceptional. They call themselves a local cafe and watching how they greet their regular customers, it's obviously true. We were given fabulous service the minute we walked in. We got told the specials and our coffee orders were taken straight away. Thank you Yanna for everything! All staff were courteous, friendly and professional.
FOOD: With an owner chef, you can't go wrong. Predominantly French, the food was cooked to perfection! I had the truffle scrambled eggs, while hubby had the Oeuf Cocotte. As they were breakfast delicacies, the portions were small. But unbelievable. The scrambled eggs were soft and fluffy and hubby's meal was hot and cooked to perfection. Each meal was served with bread. Other meals we saw were large and extra large portions and next time I will try the omelette or bruschetta. They looked fresh and delicious. We took a mango macaroon home to have for afternoon tea!
ACCESSIBILITY: Yes. They have a ramp for wheelchairs, prams and strollers. There is enough room inside and out for couples, families and children.
DOG FRIENDLY: YES AND YAY!!!!! ππ They even offer doggy ice cream.
COST: About same as other cafes in the neighbourhood. Some items cheaper than others.

Β Β Β Read moreI have been here 3 times and on two occasions had a good experience. If you are pregnant stay well away from this place as everything on the menu except the baguette has egg which they will only cook with a runny yolk. I came here when pregnant thinking that they would cook the egg scrambled which is what every obstetrician or doctor would recommend for pregnant women. They refused and I was the only one out of our party who was not able to have breakfast. It was quite upsetting and embarrassing and after seeing how disappointed and outraged the rest of our group was with the service and I asked to cancel the order they reluctantly agreed to scramble the eggs. When I went to pay the bill they had stung me additional charges for additional eggs and cooking because they had to scramble them. This would normally not have been a problem is I have no issue with a restaurant charging a little extra if you try and change items on their menu it was the way they weird about it they're incredibly rude and it took them 30 minutes to decide but they would ultimately help me by then everyone else in our group it eaten and they were never upfront about the charges. I have also been here for lunch and had a great time as well as one of their special to...
Β Β Β Read moreUpdate 10 Sept 24 After our initial visit, we came another 3 times. All were excellent except today's which was a huge fail. My vol au vent had well overcooked and dry diced chicken. It was sadly balanced by totally soggy pastry caused by a watery "bechamel" type sauce. This dish with bacon and mushrooms is a French classic and was $27. I left nearly all the chicken and the soggy pastry. My wife fared somewhat better with the country terrine. However, the slice of baguette cut in 2, with no butter, 2 small cornichons and a "teaspoon' of onion jam were inadequate as accompaniments. Coffees were adequate but not as rich as normal. We received apologies and complimentary coffees from the waitress. Nothing could be done about the food. There was nothing "French like" about the cafe this time as far as we could see. Has there been a change in personnel, owner? Why's it so different?
Initial Visit We shared a platter of beautiful items: roasted Camembert with rosemary, French gherkins, sour dough baguette, figs in syrup, terrine, goats cheese, French spicy sausage. Most delicious and plentiful. The coffees were very good flavour and temperature. Service was friendly...
