The location wasn't ideal. While it wasn't directly on the beach, we expected to be closer based on the online description. Instead, it was right next to the busy Gold Coast Highway, making it noisy and not very walkable to Broadbeach. We were so excited for a little Gold Coast getaway with our young kids. Booking.com advertised with stunning photos and a promising 3-star rating, so we booked three nights for AU$770. Unfortunately, the reality was far from the pictures Upon arrival, our disappointment grew. The property itself felt outdated and neglected. The photos online definitely didn't reflect the actual condition. To top it off, the customer service was lacking. We weren't greeted with the warm welcome we were hoping for after a long drive. Another major letdown was the expectation to clean our own room and wash dishes. We weren't expecting full daily housekeeping, but every seven days with a request needed felt excessive, especially with young children. Unfortunately, even when we requested housekeeping, it never happened. The final straw was the dripping shower. It caused a constant annoyance and disrupted our sleep for two nights. Despite complaining upon arrival, it wasn't fixed until the last day. This made an already difficult situation even more frustrating, especially with tired kids. Overall, our stay was a disaster, especially considering the price point. It wasn't the relaxing family getaway we envisioned. We'll definitely be rethinking our booking strategy and will be deleting the Booking.com app if they can't ensure accurate listings. We wouldn't recommend this property to others, particularly families with young children.

I don't think I've ever given a motel/hotel a 1 star. This looked, felt, and smelled like a converted utility closet. It was disgusting, dirty, and wet. Inadequate waterproofing on the badly installed shower, random electrical cables, poorly installed tiling, no air con so there were 2 Kmart heaters on the room. Random old stabby scissors, no soap, and wet bedsheets were just some of the homey touches that I missed not growing up in an actual barn. To top it off the shower glass was about 1500 high so at 6 foot the shower head came almost up to my shoulders. It was ok because turning the shower on mate the ceiling sweat so I could sit on my the bed and catch some of the drops there instead. The shower didn't turn off so it was running all night, and the electrical tape used instead of waterproofing didn't really stop it, so I woke up to a flooded floor - great for shocking me awake. The cables on the floor were properly insulated so it wasn't a literal shock. Active construction site on both sides of the fence started with grinding at 7am on a Saturday so there was probably someone proficient in CPR or First Aid. I've stayed in homestays in Cuba with bullet holes in the walls I felt safer in. Hotels under active renovations in Thailand with no power felt more inviting. Campsites in Mexico during the monsoons felt like they were better prepared to keep their customers dry and comfortable. I'd give this room a higher score if I was paying for a murder mystery hotel experience and I was planning to be the victim. Ken at the front desk was fantastic though, would actually buy him a coffee if I ran into him again.

TOURISTS BEWARE. Absolute trash MOTEL, not a hotel. Avoid this place if you can. It’s purely a SCAM. They have no Wi-Fi. The pool looks like absolute trash, garbage everywhere. There are residents living there, all doing drugs, full of junkies. And when you tell them that you don’t wanna stay there, they won’t offer a refund. Their refund policy is that you must cancel five days before your check-in time. The owners name is Tony and he will reject every single complaint that you have. He doesn’t care that they’re doing false advertising.

Sorry you can’t rate this hotel doesn’t have minus stars. Where do I start I guess the safety concerns the gate to the pool which is on a main highway is unlocked and didn’t seem to lock at all. The smoke detector if there at all looked questionable. I seen what looked like wood locking some of the windows of the rooms I walked passed. Let’s move on to how dirty this property was besides the construction site all round rubbish was everywhere. They have what looks like a residential unit at the back of the property which is uncared for and belongings all around. Now getting in the room the bad smell is what hit me first then you look around and bench tops at all stained first it’s the smell of chemicals then you get a sense that’s hiding the real smell which you will get later that evening once you have used the taps a few times. I wouldn’t touch the dishes I could see dried up crustys all over the glasses the cutlery looked rusted. Mould in the bathroom the roof was the worse wasn’t even wiped over. Evening the blankets had a funny smell though I never use these anyway. All I can say is please don’t waste your money here I don’t have a nice thing to say about the place and wish I had of seen the reviews before booking the stay. I think council should be shutting you down until you...
